How do we match up with UVA?

Athletically UK is far superior. I live in Charlottesville. That being said the pack line is no joke and Green and Knox are gonna have to be able to stroke it because they're going to clog up SGA and double PJ everytime he touches it in the block. UK has been more of a grind team this year, but they should run run run. That set UVA D is no joke.
Question is, how do we match up with Buffalo?
We need vando back to win the title. I think if we make S16 he'll be back for that game, and also be a key component for our 9th title. He changes everything as far as how well we do and do not matchup with other teams.
The NCAA just might be arrogant and hateful enough to give us Higgins against Buffalo or, if we win, our next game or somewhere down the line if we keep winning. I can't imagine that happening again, but if it does and he screws us as blatantly as last year, I think I may take a permanent sabbatical from cbb. It's just too painful to see a bunch of young kids work their butts off for 5 months, only to have it snatched away by a corrupt official.

The two things we do on offense is rebound the ball and get to the line. Well they don't allow rebounds and they don't foul. So where's the offense going to come from.

Exactly! How could you look ahead to UVA when we got a Buffalo team coming up that dismantled a very talented Arizona team.
I'm not taking Buffalo lightly, nor should any of us. I was just curious about UVA because some on here are dismissive of them despite their national ranking and being the top No 1 seed in the NCAAT.
When it comes to UVA I like the fact that their only two losses were to WVU and VT, two teams we beat. That said:

Not good. With our offense and their defense, we'll be lucky to break 50. We'll have to hold them to something close to that to have a chance.
If Buffalo plays against us the way they played against Arizona, we may not have to worry about Virginia!

LOL it's not like Virginia is some offensive juggernaut that's gonna hang 80 or 90.
Virginia is to good to even talk about now, they need to go out and beat Buffalo and then have 4 or 5 days to think about Virginia. I think we match up very good with them though.

They are 23rd in offensive efficiency. And when you have that to go with a #1 ranked defense, you don't need to put up 80/90

I think we match up quite well. Granted they are a #1 seed and no #1 seed is a joke. In fact we are absolutely an underdog against any of them. Still they are the #1 seed that I believe we match up best against. Not only that but I believe we are a match up problem for them.
Blah, blah, blah....sounds like a bunch of broken records in this thread. We're not the players, we can speculate about potential games. Heck, we all just did that when we filled out brackets. The OP asked a question, if you want to spout some lame response about having to play Buffalo first, we've already heard it a bunch of times so you can save your typing fingers.
Give me Xavier if I have a choice. I'd rather them then a team that only lost two games all season........one of which by a single pt in OT
I think in the final game, we will be playing Duke. They are beatable, and our defense, outside of 3pointers, gas been very good.

Actually we match up with them insanely well. They have trouble with teams who are physical and quick. Overall we are that . While we don't maul people we have guys like PJ , Alexander , JV ( who will be back IMO if we play UVA ) and even Diallo who physically can overwhelm people . UVA wants to frustrate teams and they do that amazingly against soft teams like Duke , Miami ect . UVA always get got in the NCAA by teams who are more talented like Cuse and MSU have done to them in recent years. UVA had one UK level athlete and he just broke his wrist. Many of UVA's best players are very average athletes like Jerome and Knox can keep up with a guy like him easily. But we need to beat Buffalo first and UVA needs to beat KSU or Creighton first.
