That's exactly right. If Cal is not recruiting a top 5 guy, something's wrong with that player.
Let's be thankful that Cal and his staff do a great job of weeding out the head cases.

To be honest, I was a little worried about this when Cal was hired. I like most kind of questioned a bit whether or not Cal was completely clean and was concerned that he might bring in a bunch of talented head cases. Heck, Tubby even had a few guys who had to be kicked off the team because of off the court problems. With the exception of a small few, Cal has brought in nothing but guys who the university can be proud of. I might be more impressed with that than the title and wins.

On a serious note, and this is no slam to the west coast but it seems we have much more success with guys that play here in the east. I know lee is from California and he's ok. When was the last time we had a super stud from the west coast? Sometimes I think being homesick and the style they play there rather than here factor in. It's a little late so if I forgot someone from the west coast who was great here not named chuck Hayes, or prince please forgive.

Terrence Jones was from the west coast right? Oregon I believe.

We've been spoiled with a ton of one and done type players since Cal's got here so Marcus Lee seems like he's just okay, but his progression is more the norm. Marcus Lee is really good. Most teams would kill to have a guy with his size and length. He's an elite athlete who blocks shots, rebounds well and runs like a deer. His offensive game looks a lot better this year also.

I totally get your point regarding west coast players but I had to jump in to defend Marcus on this one.

I'll give u jones for obvious reasons. The one guy I think cal wanted from out west bad was Terrance ross the guy was drafted in the top ten which was a bit high but was very good

We called Alex Legion's mom crazy too. Troy Williams mother indicted herself with her facebook account, something I wouldn't.t want my mother to post anyway. That's all I've got to say about that!
