If we win out and look good doing so finishing 11-1, maybe we deserve top 4 depending on many other teams.

I still don't want top 4. We would be #4 and Bama's first out. I'd rather have a competitive bowl game.

LSU is a joke. They're basing the ranking on what teams beat what "ranked" teams.

WVU should have been 8 or 7 at best, but the problem is this. Unless ND, Michigan or Clemson lose, the Big 12 is out of the playoffs.

Nothing would make me happier than to make the playoff as that would mean we won out. But no doubt in my mind, we have to jump 3 or 4 teams just to earn the fourth spot. I'm not worrying about it until championship game week.

Agreed, but if given the choice....I'm pulling for a playoff spot.

Agree with most of the sentiment here. CFP committee loves the SEC - putting two-loss LSU above us. If we win out, and that's a very tall order, it will really depend on what happens in the Big 10. I don't see Alabama, Clemson or ND losing, with ND being most vulnerable of those three. If Michigan or Ohio State win out, they will be selected above us. If we beat Oklahoma back to back and end up with only one loss and Michigan or Ohio State is selected over us, that will be BS.

But it's still too early to get our panties in a wad. Three games to be played and maybe a Conference Championship.

So, you would support us not going to the NCAA tournament in basketball and just go win the NIT........pathetic. I'd rather have a shot at #1 in the playoff than go to a bowl game and "be competitive". Loser mentality.

My guess is that the LSU ranking is how many TDs they are projected to score the rest of the year. That is a garbage ranking for that team. They couldn't score in a women's prison with a fistful of pardons.

It's all meaningless until we play OU. We win, we should be in the playoff, period. But ND will probs **** that up for us.
