Replace us with Duke is more realistic. Auburn, and LSU would both go in dry on poor old Splinter. He'd have to take a year off just to recover from the big orange cheetoh in his... okay... gotta stop. Was getting nauseous.

Imagine how giddy the 8/9 seeds are going to be if San Diego State plays out...like hitting the lotto...[laughing]
What makes you think they are not good out of curiosity? One loss? Ranked in the top 15 in both offensive and defensive efficiency? Wins over Iowa, BYU, and a 31 point dismantling of Creighton?

I don’t think anyone has said they’re not good. But, their lack of a quality schedule has to be considered when looking at that gaudy record. Good? Yes. 1 or 2 seed good? I don’t think so.

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind being a 3 seed in any of those regions. There are so few quality teams that no one is truly that scary this season.

NFW would they put Maryland-Duke together, same bracket, 2-3 seeds, particularly east region. Yes, Maryland is in the B10 now but there would be just enough lingering ACC sentiment to silently agree Duke needs someone much easier to play.

That is fair. I guess the point I was making is people jump to a conclusion that a team isn't good, or as good as you put it, just because of the conference they play in. In SDSU's case, I think that is a mistake. When given the chance, they have beaten some good teams. And the numbers support they are legit. Same with Dayton. Those 2 teams can play with and beat anyone. Now watch, they'll both lose opening weekend and I'll look like a total dipshit. Again.

Dayton is a big boy, as proven by taking #1 KU to OT. I’ll take a path thru SDSU in a heartbeat.

I agree they can beat anyone. The big difference is being able to do it six times in a row and I don’t think either of those two teams can do that against superior competition.
