Hagans will be fine. In many ways, this was a good thing for everyone. Hagans got to rest and reset. Maxey got some extended run at point, which will pay dividends later. The bench guys got some extra run and really proved they are ready to contribute when called upon. We, as a team, got to overcome a lot of adversity to pull out a big win. And it gave Cal a chance regain control and refocus of the team.

I’m sick of all the negative “fans” bashing this kid. How about a post that shows support. If you want to show your support and tell him you have his back then post. Otherwise please refrain from more negativity.

I for one would love to see his grit and hard nosed defensive play the rest of the year.
I'm in. The kid is tough as nails and has played banged up all year when others might have wanted to sit out. This team isn't the same without him. Today Maxey goes 1-11 and Quickly fouls out after 21 minutes of lay. We need the 3 together and Quick and Maxey on the wings to be the most effective. Sure he's been in a slump, but he still is a dog on the defensive end and I think he will bust out of this funk.

I love Hagans! He has played his butt off all season. This guy was the main reason we sparked up in the first place. Him coming back to UK for a sophomore season is something else these dumbtards forget about.
He is wore down, constantly running his knees off all game. Real BBN needs you buddy!

I've never not been in Ashton's corner. When he's on he's as exciting as any player out there especially while wreaking havoc defensively.

Ashton Hagans is a sophomore. He's progressing just fine for a sophomore. He's up in rebounds, assists, ft%, steals, blocks, and ppg. So his shooting % are down and turnovers are up. The uptick in turnovers I think can mainly be attributed to his recent shooting struggles. He's pressing to make up for it by being overly aggressive.

He pretty much just needs to do a better job of relaxing and just taking what the game is giving him. Affect the game in other ways. Defense and rebounding. Getting after loose balls and seeking contact when driving to the basket. He's a good free throw shooter. Get your points there. Be the facilitator we know you can be.

I’m all in on Ashton. Took a couple personal days like we all do when we need a break. Mature enough to realize it. Good thing and the comeback win on the road by the rest should make us even stronger.

We need Hagans in order to make a run at another NC. I don’t know what happened and at this point and time I don’t care. In order for this team to be the best version of itself we need Hagans playing his best. Whatever happened is hopefully in the past, so let’s move forward and get er done. The team needs BBN, we need our team, and as always thank God we have Cal. I love our chances in the big dance. Go Big Blue!

I will give some support for Hagans. I hope the young man realizes he blew his golden opportunity. Hopefully he learns from this and has a good career at Washington or overseas.
Wow, really trying to give you respect and understand your viewpoint but this is a little out there
Do you know something the rest of us don’t? Do you think he’s not coming back or have heard anything to indicate transfer?
I’m asking these questions seriously

I'm assuming your avatar pic looks like you, or your inner self. Get behind the players or go root for one of the other Kentucky teams. Ron is an awful poser.

Blue tick he deserved the idiot title the thread says support not smart *** sarcasm. It's tournament time we need to support our team. The ones rolling in misery need to find something else to make themselves happy.

Great contribution to the thread.
If you don't like someone opinion, call them names.
People like you are 10 ft tall and bullet proof behind their key board.

Yeah ok did you read the OP thread and then post something like that? And I'm actually only 5'8" is there anything else that you would like to know about me?

Hagans will be fine. He's a tough competitor that showed me a lot when he played with the bruised thigh. It could still be bothering him for all we know. He'll be back at practice tomorrow, will be welcomed back by his brothers, and will lead the team to an SEC tourney championship next weekend.

Go Big Blue!

No inside scoop BKCat. I don't think he will be in the NBA next year. Maybe he follows Quade to UW or maybe he goes overseas. History says he probably doesn't play at UK next year. I don't though. Good luck to him where ever he goes. I don't wish anything bad towards the kid. I just think the team I cheer for is better off without him.

His video he posted showed a kid that probably needed the time to refocus and just needed the mental break. You could tell he was truly happy for his team and I think he will be back with a new focus and drive honestly. You dont post videos like that if you aren't supporting ur guys. Look out first round opponent.

I love this team and getting to watch these guys grow. Without his defense and killing passing lanes, we would have some more losses. He is a tough kid and I think he becomes clutch for the tourney (meaning his turnovers and finishing at the rim better). Even if he starts playing off the ball, which I would love to see. I believe he would get more steals and wreak havoc, he would be right in the middle of all those passing lanes. This team is our best shot at number nine, since maybe 2015. That's my opinion, maybe 2017 had a decent shot but I just didn't feel it. I think we might just get it, and we will need him. So let's go Hagans, I got nothing but love for you, this team and our coach. Let's get number nine (as a two seed, which we will have pulled out of our butt) and Go Cats!!!

Fair enough
I will have to respectfully disagree though. I do believe that he will return and play well.
thank you for your response

If hagans has studied the great guards of the last 10-15 years.... they are something special. he has the potential but he does give up sometimes whereas the great guards find a way to win. Its immeasurable talent. Words dont do it justice. I'd watch the UK vs UCONN final game from 2014....

Yes as we saw last night when we nearly got our doors blown off by florida only to win with some production from our freshmen after being down 18. Me and Ashton are coming to pick you up at your place to go help him pack his stuff and drive him to the airport to get on a plane home figured you’d like that.

Why would he go to Washington?

He has my support. Been critical of him before. This whole issue will pass. Hope he comes back better and stronger than before. We definitely need him for the tournament. Would be great to see him do what he can do the best and be the player we saw in December and January.

I am in on Ashton and it would not be a total surprise if he is back next year. Not likely but very possible.

I love this thread. There is only 1 problem. I miss some folks who should be over here after throwing him under the bus. You know they are just waiting!
