Won that despite Haith. Can someone explain to me why you want Joiner at the line there and not Rachel?
Wish Joiner would have stepped up and won the game at the free throw line but I’ll take any win in this league any way we can get it.
Jackson our leading scorer with 19 but the big stat he was 3-6 from behind the arc. It may sound strange to be happy about this but we were only out rebounded by 7, that’s good because Houston was averaging +15 in rebounding.
I think you want it in Joiner's hands because of his ability to handle it, a double team, etc. He's the one that called the time out when Igbanu (or maybe it was Rachal) got double teamed a little earlier. He's the smartest player on the floor and Haith trusts him. Of course Sampson is smart too and probably told his players, if x, y, or z get the ball foul right away. If a or b get the ball, double quick and see if we can force a turnover. In this case, pick your poison. The worst possible thing for TU in that situation is a turnover in your own end. Joiner having the ball and getting fouled is not the worst thing to happen for TU in that situation.
