Like I did with Clemson, I wanted to get a sense of what their rotation/production was over their last 10 games, to try to get a better picture of who has been getting minutes and what we might be able to expect.

Over those last 10 games, Houston has gone 9-1. Wins over @USF, Cincinnati, Western Kentucky, USF, Memphis, Tulane (n), Memphis (n), Cincinnati (n), Cleveland State (n). Loss @Wichita St. Overall, their home record this year was 12-0, their away record was 5-3, and their neutral record was 5-0.

So... what I'm seeing...
1. They've got size in the backcourt, but not as much in the frontcourt. But that means they have length around the perimeter to frustrate passing lanes.
2. Their starting posts are Chaney/Gresham at 6-8, but I think White probably fills in the remaining 10 min at the 5 and some spill over at the 4... also at 6-8. Seems like those bigs foul a lot.... 44.5 min and 6.5 fouls a game, but also combine for 3.9 blocks.
3. Gorham is their PF, and seems to live on the offensive glass for them the last 10 games (2.8 ORb/ 3.6 DRb), but Chaney (1.8), White (1.4), Jarreau (1.4), and Grimes (1.2) all look like guys who hit the offensive boards. By contrast, we only have two guys this year who have averaged 1.2 ORb/game... Johnson at 3.0 and McConnell at 1/2.

Some big questions...
1. How close to 100% will Johnson be? He could be a difference maker for us on the defensive glass, but he'll also have to chase smaller forwards on an injured ankle.
2. Will Jarreau play, and how close to 100% will he be? He's the "straw that stirs the drink" for them in a lot of ways.... #2 scorer, #2 rebounder, 5.0 ast/g, etc... and if his mobility is limited, how well can he stay in front of Young or handle Young's pressure?
3. Will we go small ball at all? We saw that look late against Clemson, with Harper taking their 5 and us playing with essentially 5 guards/wings. If Johnson is hampered at all, this might be a look we see some of.
4. Can Harper bully them and throw his weight around? At 6-6/245, he's got size on their entire roster - even their bulkiest center at just 230.
5. Can we cool their outside shooting? They've been pulling the trigger from the arc 26.5 times a game, for 43.1% of their attempts.... and 9.3 of those have come from Grimes (at a .495 clip, no less) - that's a higher clip/% than Douby was as a junior. Cannot leave him open on a switch or on help defense, or he'll bury us out there.
6. Can Mulcahy be more effective defensively? This team seems to be more in his height/weight class on the wing.... no powerful forwards that have height/weight on him, and not many shift guards that have a huge advantage in lateral quickness on him.
