Look at our remaining midweek games.
Samford
UT Martin
MS Valley
Southern (not USM)
Arkansas State
UAB
The Citadel
Jacksonville State
I’d pitch Harding for a couple of innings against Samford, then take him out of the midweek starter role and move him to weekend bullpen duty. We currently have an army of RHP pen options but not really any proven LHP options. Harding helps the team a lot more on the weekends than he does by dominating the sisters of the poor on a Tuesday night.
No issues with the way Lemonis/Foxhall have used Harding so far because we’ve had some solid midweek competition to this point. But it gets a lot easier from here and we could use a LHP out of the pen come SEC play.
This would also give a young guy (like Mikey Tepper) some starting experience before moving to the weekend rotation next year.
