Our offense playing fairly well and leaving the defense in good starting position is showing that our defense is real real good. May be at similar level to the “one who knocks” defense of 2012.
Jesse Palmer said at halftime that Houston would dominate the second half. He also picked Texas to beat OU.
Ask Miller, he’s going straight into the Center false start hall of fame the day his career concludes.
My goodness did Dane Evans put back on a uniform?? Loving the throws!
There is obviously a lot of confidence in Boomer’s ability to throw in the middle of the field whereas we never saw those routes with Skipper

Most Temple fans were really impressed by Tulsa.
Frankly Tulsa should have beaten Temple but the turnovers were killers. Temple out physical Tulsa but tonight U guys are dominating Houston.

I keep trying to explain this and it seems Monty has recognized it, but a lot of people are still missing it.
This is an old school football team.
Nothing fancy.
Big inside O-line that is going to grind on you. Since we play fast no subbing just you 5 vs 3 or 4 over and over again.
Running backs that chomp off yards. We got one that will break your ankles and run off on you. We got one that will smack you in the mouth and then the next guy after him.
Big receiver who can hold off little CB's.
Quick receiver you can't hit in a phone booth.
You let your O-line go to work. You feed your running backs.
Your QB throws quick hits to the big receiver for sure catches, little guy for big play potential.
Play action after you establish the run to hold the pass rushers, doesn't even matter if you catch them the safeties can't cheat.
Add a sneaky good tight end who is a match up problem and a stalwart defense then you got the 1960s Cleveland Browns.

We just held the top offense in the country to 7 yards in the 3rd quarter!!!!
Yeah, this sort of pisses me off. Not saying we beat Texas, but pretty sure we would have won the last 2 with Boomer in the game. The playbook seems to have more WR route trees available to him which expands what plays we can run from different sets which keeps the defense from stacking everything.
And one of these 3rd and short plays, Boomer is going to keep the ball and pick up 10 easy yards
And only 6 plays (not counting the 2 4th down punts)
What did I say about how we have played in the 3rd quarter this year?
If we don't screw ourselves we are a very tough out.
Next year when all these fresh and sophs mature could be scary good. It's why I have been so frustrated this year. The team can win, just play to it's strengths.
Tonight? He's been doing wonders all season long. He just needed to be given free reign and not saddled with the Co D coordinator.
We’re jumping on Boomer’s clap. I’ve always hated the clap as the snap signal. Have the guard tap the center. Plays need to come in quicker too.
