....yet, doesn't stop hospitals from firing or suspending employees vital in caring for the sick because they didn't get vaccinated. Yet it's the unvaccinated people's fault that the hospitals are being "overwhelmed", not the hospitals for turning away employees during this "pandemic".

Come on, man. You think all these hospital execs are "leftists"? It's greed and stupidity that's the problem.

I didn't say that I thought that. I said, leftists are destroying our country and that's a fact. Mandating vaccines is ridiculous and unconstitutional. Leftists don't care about our Constitution though.

It’s not stupidity. It’s liability and financial. I don’t know, (just assuming) but I’m willing to bet there’s some form of extra compensation from insurance providers or government if a hospital can say their staff is 100% vaccinated. I do know hospitals are reimbursed more money if they are 100% RN staffed versus a combination of RN and LPN staff. They look at it as more skilled nursing and (in theory) should equal better care. I don’t agree with that, there’s some damn good LPNs. That’s why the latest hospital trend is eliminating LPN’s in the hospital setting.

The Biden Administration unconstitutionally mandated vaccinations.

There’s no other way to put it.

People go to ER and urgent care, for one thing, are tested and tests comes back positive and the person has a cut finger. Stats are misleading.

I've been to urgent care, and so have other members of my family through the pandemic. None of us have been tested for covid unless we explicitly went in for a test.

Happens here
My wife took my younger daughter to urgent care for an ear infection just a handful of days ago. No test even after letting them know that she had recently gotten over a head cold. Obviously our experiences vary. I guess the good news is that your situation is not universal in US healthcare.

I was in the ER twice in 2 weeks back in July (something stuck in ear canal and pleurisy). Not once tested for Covid, not even asked if I had the vaccine.

ER's here now though are getting hammered with patients.

My wife is very sick right now temp about 101 , refusing to go to er or patient first. Said the wait time is ridiculous. She had her boss check her for the rona at work & come back negative.

Glad it's not the rona, hope she gets better soon.

Urgent cares here are mixed in terms of wait times. When my wife took my daughter in last week, they walked right in with no wait. I was in a few months ago, and there were 10 people waiting to be seen.

At many colleges and workplaces nationally, students and employees are required to get tested weekly, regardless of having symptoms...so can we really say that it is not universal in US healthcare?

His implication was that every visit to urgent care or ER involved a test. The point is that healthcare providers are not universally requiring covid tests for their customers/patients. While that may be his experience, it does not match with my family's experience.

Yep, wife had some bug. Thought it was Covid, but test was negative. Took her about a week to recover.
There is a bug going around, my son had it lasted about 3 days. I had a minor version of it lasted longer but not as bad as my son. Hospitals here in Northern Nevada are not being overwhelmed.

It kind of makes you wonder why the Federal Gov is mandating and forcing healthy people to go to testing sites where other's who may actually have Covid are also there, to get a test that is not medically needed. In my old career, that was call healthcare fraud. It was not that long ago, that the gov. was getting abused for not having enough testing sites...now, no one cares...kind of interesting.

It’s possible his hospital does I guess. If so, it’s obviously only a policy that particular hospital has implemented. It’s definitely not standard. Nursing homes and rehabilitation facilities are different and most are requiring their residents to be Covid tested prior to returning. Same for new patients being admitted to a nursing home or rehabilitation facility.

The last testing site I went to was the Walgreens drive through. They passed me the test, gave me instructions on what to do, and I passed the sealed container back to them.

I guess you live in a very nice place...my son's employees have to walk into a Labquest and wait with others who are also being tested. And he works for a Fortune 40. My daughters friends at WVU have to walk to a clinic on campus and wait in line with those who have symptoms as well as those who refuse to get vaxxed.

I guess the country club libs just have it better than others.

My last test was Walgreens as well in Grafton. Got my results back by email before I got home.

Yeah, took wife to Walmart for test. Same procedure.
