Never going back to the Final 4 again. Thought we would have Kentucky fans surrounding us. Instead, very few UK fans. Multiple a-wipe duke and wisconsin fans. And a bunch of fans with no cheering interest other than to cheer against UK. I would rather go swimming inside a volcano than to go through that horrible experience again.

Wisconsin really showed up. I was really impressed with their crowd.

Great atmosphere, I thought. Our fans were on the edge but we did what we could.

Was heckled the entire game for cheering for UK. duke fans were cheering harder for wisconsin than their own team.

My Monday rooting interest....

I had an unfortunate mule incident that resulted in me losing my front and bottom two teeth. The Duke and Wisconsin fans were horrible to me. God forbid someone from Kentucky is missing a tooth. I will never return to another game outside of Rupp.

I had a bad experience also. Lots of Wisconsin fan above me who made the game harder to enjoy. And the uk fans around me, pathetic, never stood, rarely made noise, not overly friendly other then a nice couple next to me.

But, had we won none of that matters and I remember the other stuff as fodder but nothing substantial. Instead we lost so the negatives are what stick out the most.

What really sucks is I spent 930$ for A package deal to both games and now have to sell Monday's. And I'm going to be hurting financially for a bit.

Hard not to be bitter right about now. This sucks. Losing sucks. But still love the cats, go big blue! C a t s cats cats cats.

Eh, we were around Duke and Wisconsin fans mostly. Duke fans are as you would expect them to be. They know nothing about the game, they're pompous, and they're smug. Wisconsin fans were great. They love their school, but no arrogance. We had some excellent UW fans sitting right behind us.

The place was heavily UK. I'd say we had 45-50% of the total crowd. Wisconsin was second and had a huge contingent. Duke had a good crowd, more than i thought. MSU was surprisingly small considering their proximity to Indy and the size of their enrollment and alumni base.

These posts are the absolute worst. So Wisconsin, Duke and Michigan State fans should all stay home because theyre cheering against us? What a stupid thought. They bought a ticket, like our fans, and have the right to cheer and boo as they please. Free country, ya know.

My thought, too The OP's primary complaint seems to be that there were a bunch of rival fans there cheering for the other guy and against UK. Which is just a ridiculous reason to complain, if he didn't wanna be around that then he shouldn't have made the trip.

Maybe he thought the Final Four was gonna be like those SEC basketball tournament crowds that essentially look it's the UK Invitational.

I went once and will never go back. If you want to watch basketball, it's a dreadful experience. I'd rather watch on the TV at home than on the TV in the arena while UCONN fans curse at me from a row back.

Have to agree with this. Was surprised by the amount of red, but except for one drunk jack-wagon, all the Wisconsin fans were fun and polite before, during and after the game. Duke fans were everything you'd expect, and MSU seemed just happy to be there with low expectations.

Not that I would EVER hope for dook to win, but I'm always torn about whether to cheer for the team that puts you out of the tournament, or hope they go on to win it all... The way Wisconsin fans handled the win makes it even easier to pull for them tomorrow.

I actually had a similar experience last year.

Especially about bunch of fans with no cheering interest other than to cheer against UK. That bothered me quite a bit. Felt like a lot of these guys didn't know anything about basketball and was only there for corporate connection.

It was boring experience. I did sit next to a UK fan so that was nice, but i was surrounded by non-basketball fan who just want to experience the final four.

Honestly I'm drunk and was speaking as if the negative responses were parially aimed at my original response. I'm sorry if I'm off base. I'm just bummed. I'm 24 in school and probably shouldn't have spent the money necessary to be at the final four but I did bc I thought id see history and have a life long memory from the experience. I love the cats so this sucks. Ignore me of I'm being dumb. But this is tough.

My experience was fine besides the loss. Some Wisconsin fans around us, cheering hard for their team. No problem with that. They were pumped when they won obviously as they should have been.

Wisconsin fans were fine. They were a strong #2 as far as volume, and were fired up after the game last night, but that was to be expected. Michigan State had the third most. I didnt have enough interaction with Duke fans to be affected negatively by them. There werent that many of them.

Indiana/Butler/"neutrals" were not neutral when it came to UK. It was Kentucky against the world. I saw a kid with a sign that said "Watford For The Win" at the Gameday set. Indiana basketball is so irelevant now that anyone under the age of 21 has no real recollection of Indiana being a national player in college basketball, and that REGULAR SEASON win is all they have. Funny, yet pathetic.

No, I believe the point is how the opposing fans were acting towards them. Its one thing for fans to cheer for their team and an entirely different thing for them to act hostile, agitate, verbally abuse, and even assault other fans. Do they buy the right to do that when they buy their ticket? I must of missed that small print on the ticket stub. Geez, some of you never cease to amaze me with your replies to a post.

Well, at least people are invested. Iowa basketball, on the other hand, is an unremarkable, perennial piece of crap that interests no one. The only people who think otherwise are either 98 years old or Iowa fans.

He said "multiple A-wipe Wisconsin and Duke fans". Do you not know what that means? It doesn't mean they were pleasant, I can tell you that. Maybe you need to go back and reread, how bout that? And maybe reread my post as well because I never said that he was abused or assaulted but simply that it happens and TONS of fans have posted about instances with the fans there. I'm not here to argue buddy but why are you turning things around and making something out of nothing. You've done that with the OP and now my post.

Let me guess, you're gonna parrot everything you've heard on the internet.

Tell me something, if Cal is paying players, don't you think the NCAA would have discovered that when they went through everything at Memphis with a fine toothed comb?

Or, you can continue being ignorant and believe what you hear on the internet by a bunch of morons.

I had a guy next to me say that he hates UK fans and was soley cheering for Wisconsin to make UK fans suffer. He even cheered for Duke because he thought they had a better shot at beating UK.

What a jerk
