"Howland said Xavian Stapleton is getting an MRI tomorrow. He heard a pop, was worried it was an ACL, but looks like it's mostly OK."

"Xavian Stapleton felt a pop late in the game. Thought he had torn ACL again. Team docs said he didn’t. Will have an MRI tomorrow."

Watching it on tv, Xavian was holding the outside of his knee. ACL tears usually hurt on the inside, MCL is outside. I tore both, so yeah.

I've torn both as well. MCL is a lot shorter injury and can be played on with a brace if not a complete tear.

Incorrect. I have no knowledge of his injury and didn't see that play.

But MCL tears hurt on inside of need (Medial Collateral Ligament)

ACL tears, though in the middle of knee, usually hurt on the outside because the abnormal pivot of the knee when then ACL tears and the knee subluxes, leads to bone bruising on the lateral knee, and that's where they hurt. Many injuries you see in a game, especially twisting injures, where the player grabs the outside of knee are ACL tears. Though isolated bone bruises and lateral meniscus tears are possible too.

Sorry, just an FYI.

Sorry, I have to disagree. No medical knowledge needed. Don't come in here with factual information. I believe the other guy cause he posted first without what appears to be a medical degree, but he was first.

Studies indicate people who use big words are more likely to be perceived as stupid

Just a neat little factoid

BTW, I have never seen anyone grab the inside of their knee either.

Blew out my knee....it hurt so bad, I couldn't tell you which part I grabbed.

"Howland said Xavian Stapleton's MRI results were negative, which incidentally, is a positive. Good news for the sophomore guard."

Ok, you are correct as I also had a meniscus tear, which led to my thinking.
Whatever the case, Xavian is back.
