A close contact of mine texted me that the Champagne twins Julian and Justin, from Brooklyn were there, but i believe they're ticketed for Pittsburgh right now. They're rumored to be reclassifying back to 2019 and not going to prep school next year.

I didn't see them myself or ask about any other prospects but i didn't walk around the RAC or arrive earlier than tip off to see who may have been there. Even if the twins are going to Pittsburgh as recent predictions seem to think, always good to win home games with a good, loud crowd at the RAC.

Lots of tall athletic kids walking around last night. Were any there on unofficial visits?

I think those were all football recruits.
A few taller kids in dark green sweatsuits were waiting outside by the media room. They could have also been football but it looked more like high school basketball players from the same team.

We really need Cliff from Roselle Catholic. I know our odds are like less than 25% now but this kid could be the perfect fit for what Pike loves. A rebounding machine, beast inside and still a little raw. Don't know why he would look elsewhere when he could step into what could be a winning team and have a big role. We need to put the full court press on him.

When did our odds drop like that? I thought we were close to the top?

Good look.

Here's a Pittsburgh-centered article: https://pittsburghsportsnow.com/201...or-pitt-targets-julian-and-justin-champagnie/

They took an official to Pitt, they were at MSG for the St. John's-Seton Hall game (interested in SJU not SHU), and then took an unofficial visit to us yesterday. Next weekend they'll be at Dayton which rounds out their final four.

They might still be Pitt leans but it's worth something that they didn't commit on their official visit there.

Side note, they're from the same Brooklyn HS as Mike Williams.

More info: Their dad won a national title in soccer at St. John's. Gonna be real tough to beat out them and Jeff Capel at Pitt, but hey who knows.
