I thought we would struggle this season with no returning post players and our guard play would have to carry us. With Polyniece and Gaskins already out for the year, we will really have some growing pains.

When Ole Miss scrimmaged North Alabama a friend of mine told me that he thought N. Alabama would be better than half of their nonconference schedule because they made it to the elite 8 of division 2 last year. He included Utah in the list. I was like "Are you sure?" His reasoning was that he hadn't heard anything about Utah since Bogut. I thought that was over the top. After I saw that Utah lost to SW Baptist and before we played North Alabama I thought he might have been right.

and my alma mater was in the same conference. They are an exceptional D2 teams with a couple kids that are really solid. They have a legitimate big man and against Utah they hit 16 threes. I could see them giving some D1 teams issues with their quickness and their lack of mistakes. They probably would run away with a conference like the Swac or Southland.
