There was a charge not long after that on Collins, that was just ignored. There are three refs watching, and just let it go. Bad officials, when a guy is still talking about them, after a win. But Oweh's aggressive game pulled us out, of bad officiating.
Team effort today. Oweh, JJ, and CC were the offensive pins, but MM had a solid defensive game and several rebounds/blocks that very much helped.

If Oweh was the shooter Chandler is, he would be a 25+ scorer. But if Moreno had JQ or Garrisons athletic ability, and Garrison had Moreno's smarts 😂. And it goes on and on 😂 But really, can you imagine if Moreno had hops like JQ did before he got hurt. He would be a one and done for sure. I hope we get to see his year 2 🥳

MM will be a draft pick eventually. He has a very high celling.

Genuinely one of the worst no calls I’ve ever seen. I may have over reacted in my living room and scared my whole family lol. I just don’t understand how 20k people in the stands, and who’s knows how many people watching on tv, can see it clearly, but the 3 guys on the court who’s sole job it is to enforce the rules, miss it.
I wish my wife and friends cared enough to understand why I go bonkers sometimes.
I was in the mancave when that hook happened, wife was watching it upstairs. She saw the hook and heard me go off. She didn't understand why I was so upset, because we won and you better believe she will tell all our friends, who don't watch sports.
But then she asked why the Ole Miss guy didn't get called for that hook. "Why was the foul called on us?" My response: "you said you heard me yelling, did you listen to what I was yelling?". Obviously not.

I don't want to take away from the win at all. Finding a way to win these types of games is huge. Earlier this season, we might have not fought our way through the physical play and the BS from the officials. Good for this team to keep fighting.

Those are the types of calls that are absolutely game changing calls. And that's the exact reason those officials need to be suspended.

That ref was the same one who let Storrs knock Chandler 8 feet back with his shoulder. The little dark haired punk that swallowed his whistle a lot today.
Yep that was ridiculous no call. So blatantly obvious.

I just don’t understand basketball anymore. Probably thirty clear walks today not called. Palming on every dribble not called. Touch fouls they love to call on the and 1 plays, but, way more contact on other plays not called.
Good points, especially the tons of missed walks.

I get the "refs are betting" stuff, but think: couldn't they just as easily taken the Cats to cover?

Answer is, bias. Bias against Kentucky.

Change my mind.

Feel like this deserves its own thread. Probably the most egregious and blatant missed call in my lifetime. Dude was hugging Oweh with one arm and refs swallow the whistle that led to an and 1.
The guy missed the free throw so it wasn’t an and1.

Why aren’t officials graded???
I know they talk about how the better ones get the final four and stuff like that.
On a regular basis, why isn’t someone raising a red flag and saying what was up with this call?
They just go home after the game then show up again at Rupp Arena next week and do the same thing again!
Yup the same ones, It seems like the SEC hires and keeps the worst offenders as well. I see bad games all over but in general I’d take any other conference officiating over ours.

This call doesn't hurt as bad, because the stakes aren't as high, the ones in our E8 game in 2017 should have resulted in a certain ref getting banned from officiating anymore games.

But this one right here is from the 2011 FF, a game we lost by a point. Guess who made this call.

You can’t tell me that isn’t crooked. It’s on tape, right in front of him. He couldn’t have a better view, he’s standing still. Didn’t even come close to grazing him. Obvious flop.

Corruption and gambling. It’s the only logical reason in my honest opinion. Not even being bad at your job qualifies here.

Overall, it wasn't a badly officiated game. The exception is they allowed several offensive hooking plays (not called) by Ole Miss, not just this one. This one was just the worst, compounded by them calling Oweh for fouling his off-hand with Oweh's butt.
Immediately after this play, I texted my son saying "that was maybe the worst no-call I've seen in my life!"
