Says the fan of the team who went 4-8 last year and their whole fanbase still lives in the 90s
See the main difference between Nebraska and Iowa is that we will fire coaches who go 4-8 once where as Iowa will hold onto a coach for 18 years who has gone 4-8 or worse 3 times and call people "assinine" for saying they would rather play for a different coach.

Ferentz has had 5 or more losses 13 times in 18 years. We fired Bo Pelini because he didn't win enough and he NEVER had more than 4 losses.

The funny thing is that you guys just have donors buy them out the day before the games and then just call it a sellout. I was in town for work the week of the Northern Illinois vs Nebraska game and thought Nebraska might lose so I went. Turns out I was right. Also, the place was half empty yet it was called a sellout

The year 2025 Iowa kid growing up a Hawkeye fan to his dad why are we stuck at 7-5 record year after year
Dad replies son that's our goal a winning record, son but dad Nebraska is winning the division every year and the conference every other, dad Nebraska always has hire aspirations and goals than coach Brian even though he's the highest paid employee for the state of Iowa

Interesting. Not sure how that relates to what I just said. At all. Please show me where they differentiate between the "power five coach of the year" and the "non Power 5 coach of the year,: Thanks.

It doesn’t, he’s still Coach of the Year. If Iowa is fine with there coach and never winning it big, never getting over the hump then good on them. But no, none of us HUSKER FANS would rather have Kirk over Frost. Frost has yet to prove himself in the power five as a HC but Kirk has and how many National Champ games has he won?

And I’m with the other Huskers, id take LaVonte David over the other Iowa LBs in a heart beat. Dudes a beast and always has been a beast.

247 has Iowa with 18 recruits at #34 and Nebraska with 14 at #40... Not sure what they have left to fill but it's likely we finish on top overall class ranking as well?

This kid could be a bullet like the white version of Demorrio Williams. Maybe a little bigger too. GBR

Sellout streak fake? What? Ha

Dude, the sellout streak is as fake as the lines I told girls in college to get laid...no one cares.

I am not a name caller so you are safe there. But seriously, I have told you a million times not to over exaggerate - "the place was half empty". I don't think the place is half empty during the week in the winter time.

NFL total stats

Anthony Hitchens: 292 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 1 int. No rewards.

Christian Kirksey: 416 total tackles, 11.5 sacks, 4 force fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. No rewards.

Lavonte David: 749 tackles, 18 sacks, 17 force fumbles, 8 fumble recoveries, 10 ints and 3 defensive TDs.

Rewards: Pro Bowl 2015, 1st team All Pro 2013, 2nd team All Pro 2016, All Rookie Team 2012, 2xAll American 2010-2011, 1st team All BIG12 2010 and 1st team All BIG10 2011.

Ok yea, I could see why Honas would rather be like David then Kirksey or Hitchens, too. Agreed Hawkeye. Good eye. Sorry but that was stupid to compare those guys to LaVonte David. That dude could turn a team or carry a team All by him self as a LB.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Will comes from Bishop Carroll, a 6A (largest in KS) Catholic High School in Wichita. They won the state championship this year and are consistently in the hunt for the title every year. So Will comes from a solid HS program and one of the best JC programs in the nation as well.

The one thing I always felt about LB's is they are natural's for the position. A good LB has innate instincts and physical skills that fit the requirements of taking on blockers, seeing the holes open up, meeting the ball carrier in the crease, etc. Anyone ever try playing LB, it is a very hard position in my opinion. I am looking forward to what this kid brings to the team, love his instincts and how he explodes into the ball carrier.

Enough arguing with the Iowa fans, I want to celebrate this victory!
