This was nowhere as near as bad as our loss to Northwestern. Come off the ledge people. Yes we wasted a great defense, but we knew our offense had holes last year.

It’s not just the offense, it’s the throat slash, trash talking out of control crap. Timeouts fir no dang reason, substitution penalties, penalties in general, play clock dwindling down without a play call. I am off the Rose colored glasses train. He gets more time for sure, these are all things that can be fixed but JoMo is not ready for prime time and everyone knows it.

We have played some horrible games this year. Remember the 16 penalties for 139 yards at Kentucky?

As someone who spent the time & money to make both trips - they were about equally ******. The NW game we showed up with no emotion, no effort, and got out played & out coached. This game it was like half the team showed up but the other half should’ve stayed in Starkville.

We probably weren’t any more talented than NW in 2012. We were definitely the more talented team yesterday.

That’s why fans are pissed. We refuse to capitalize on any momentum, ever. 9-4 would have changed the entire offseason. So much for any optimism.

Bowl games matter in these ways. Program momentum and fan perception are important in the off season.

Did you even see the number of white boys on that team? We should have destroyed that team with blindfolds on.

True. They were the whitest white dudes I’ve ever seen. You could mark on them with a white crayon and it would have left a dark mark.

I don't know if I can comprehend that whiteness. What category does the dude from BYU fall into?

It's still kind of amazing how bad we were on offense against teams with a decent defense. How many TDs did we end up scoring against decent teams? 1 against KY, none against AL and LSU. Did we score one against FL? I know we scored some on TAMU and Auburn.

I’ve only seen it myself a couple of times before the game on Tuesday. Some dude I went to school at State with was from Sebastopol, MS and he was this white. His hair was white too. But he wasn’t albino. Freaky looking.

Y’all forgot South Alabama, Ole Miss 2014, 2015 and 2017, Orange Bowl... Mullen had some stinkers too.... also Iowa had two extra days Bowl prep in Tampa because Cohen went cheap on a flight.. well I take that back, we were able to salvage one of those days by having a walk thru in a wedding reception tent since we missed our allocated practice time.

14 egg bowl and Orange Bowl I blame more on losing our defensive coordinator. Colins has one foot out the door heading to florida. Our defense was atrocious in that game and the bowl game.
15 egg bowl, they did go to the sugar bowl so they also had a pretty good team that year. 17 egg bowl fitz leg was snapped. the whole game was messed up after that.

South Alabama no excuse for that BS. that was on mullen not making his mind up on who to play qb and playing fitz. everyone was super pissed off when we didn't play fitz then. now so many just thrink Fitz was the worst.

Nailed it. It never fails though and it's so. damn. frustrating. It's like we take one step forward and then three back.

Correct, no TDs against AL, LSU or FL. Both TDs against Iowa came on drives of less than 35 yards. One was for only 6 yards. Not getting the TD with first and goal at the 1 and not getting the TD that hit Guidry in the chest lost us the game. Even with all of the stupid penalties and other issues if you get those 2 TDs its easily a win.
