Thoughts from all you CCL fans?
If you are the Marist coach are you happy or pissed you are playing LA?

Rambler’s have the gauntlet this year ! Mike Fitzgerald (Formally of York - who gave the Ramblers a great semi-final game last year !) Dave Inserra (needs no introduction !) - MS -then you got Rob Zvonar ( needs no introduction!) - LWE - All three will be tough games for LA - and then if they can get past these three games - you still have the trap state championship game - where the winner out of the top bracket will be heavily favored to win state! To your question - Marist is good , they are big and they can run the ball - game is at home and while LA looks to be finally healthier - it will be tough win for LA. I would call the game even or give Marist 3.5 I think Marist will be pumped and ready to go !!! Good luck to both teams !

The top half of that bracket is loaded with all of the top teams

IMO as much fan fair and love as Marist gets on here, I keep looking at their fame against Joliet Catholic

My belief is that Loyola has made the necessary adjustments and are the favorite

I’ve seen more of Marist than LA - Marist has a good one in McAuliffe, a solid line and Ritter has been good. Is 88/Brown playing ? I know he a D1 Basketball recruit. LA really seems to have found their stride.

If I'm Marist I'm fine with playing LA anytime. Gotta beat them all eventually, might as well do it now. If Fitz has a good game for LA, I don't see Marist winning. If they can slow him down, it's anyones ballgame. Should be a good one.

This will be a great game. Good weather packed house. Look for Loyola to dare Marist to beat them in the air. Marist secondary must hawk the ball. If they can cause turnovers we will have a ballgame. If Marist simply tries to match score for score it will be a long day on the Southside for the Skins.

Marist QB is really good. LA should have taken the 3 points on that first drive.

Loyola 7- Marist 6. Marist missed and XP and bad punt return penalty then coverage. Special Teams!

Marist looked the better team in first half. LA D needs to get the stop coming out of half or it could be over.

Per my earlier post pre-game - I had LA a 3.5 point favorite. No way this was a second round match-up and a shame they had to meet each other this early in the playoffs and one of these teams had to go home. Perhaps a case for the old 1-16 seeding vs. 1-32 for 7A and 8A. All wins are not equal is my point. Anyways the gauntlet continues for Hollywood. Next up an old foe - that is well known to Hollywood and always presents a great match-up. I think it might be the first match up with Charlie at LA vs. MS? Not sure. Anyways - the Hawks are well seasoned and it seems the sophomore QB has hit his stride. Game will be at Hollywood next week so at least they are at home. Both teams need to focus on the game at hand. My view ( and no disrespect to the bottom half of the bracket) is the semi- final game in this bracket is the state championship. I believe the same for the bottom half of the 7A bracket. Great game by Marist and a great season. Give credit for the LA defense in the second half.
