Hokie basketball question

I know this is a high school board but this is a simple question that I could not ask any place else. Besides it will come and go quickly.

In the early stages of the season, Virginia Tech had a great pure shooter named Jalen Cone. He was not a starter but he would come off the bench and generally knock down some long-range shots, even more often than Cattoor did.

But he just disappeared and did not play at all late in the season or in the ACC or NCAA tournaments. Did he get injured or what is the scoop on him?

Hurt his ankle in Miami game, I thought he would be able to return w/ Covid layoff they had but he wasn’t able to

Now Cone announced yesterday that he is entering the transfer portal. Second player this week from Tech who has entered, although the first one played sparingly down the stretch and probably wouldn't have played much next year. Cone is a tough loss though
