They're coaching him up.
Today was kind of what I was expecting from Green all season. Some JUCO brain cramps for sure, but good work on the boards and some nice drives to the hoop. But sadly he’s not done much of this so far.

He had a wide open look and he's not usually too bad from 3 without a hand in his face. Personally I hate that corner 3. I know it's the shortest 3 on the floor but man that was always a tough spot for me without the backboard for a reference in a gym.
At the risk of starting another fight about Easley, he's been terrible from 3. I'm proud of what he's doing as a freshman, I just winced as soon as I saw that play headed to him. I'm sure he's way more frustrated about it than I am. Totally impressed how this team just does NOT give up.

Cross was money against Wisky and he was 0-3 today from the outside..

Easley had a good as look as you can get just have to knock it down..

Mack losing control of the ball on one of the last possession’s didn’t help either..

He hasn't been terrible from 3. He hasn't even had 10 attempts yet and they look good as opposed to other players. Give him more time and his % will SURELY go up. He does so many of the right things.

Cheatham was involved in every missed opportunity in the first half. Made his free throws and screwed up all of the rest. Last but not least, can anybody dunk the ball for NU?

Cross played well today and I couldn't understand why he wasn't in at the end. He needs to drive the ball more until he becomes more consistent from 3...hell even after.

I know things were bleak for the two major sports before —most of the twenty years from 1940-60, for example — but at least in this old man’s memory this is the worst ever. We aren’t even competitive in either one. Fortunately basketball can be flipped in a year. Football, not so much.

I'm hopeful today gives him a shot of confidence. He still sense like he isn't completely comfortable playing within this offensive system. Probably because everything went through him on offense at his last stop.

The Big Ten is so tough this year and NU really doesn't look anywhere near as bad as most people would have thought.

You have to give credit to Fred and his team...they have sucked at times but they fight.

He's 4 of 17. What's your definition of terrible? Look, I'm fine with it, I just wanted someone else taking that shot. Ultimately it doesn't matter because Fred is instilling a lot of fight in this team and it will pay dividends next year. And hopefully Easley is part of it. But... it would've been nice to win that game.

I was fortunate to be 1 of about 8 Husker fans there today in Piscataway, NJ. I was proud of our boys. I do think Cam Mack may be our best guard since Ty Lue. I love Charlie, but Burke or Cheatham probably should have been in the last 4 minutes. We just need 1 or 2 more Bigs. GBR

Husker Nation..your team played tough today. They remind me of our first season under Coach Pikiell. Playing hard till the end.

Best of luck the remainder of the season. You will surprise some teams in the B1G.

Ya I think Mack is pretty special and hope we have 2 more years of him. Jervay green has a great game and hope he can build off it. Charlie is solid. I have no problem with him in there. Burke and cheatam were struggling. Kinda nice having a year 0 where we can embrace improvement without pressure of wins and losses. I’m excited for the direction the program is going and the fact this team played with effort, joy, and does not turn ball over often. Last years team was more talent but let the pressure of expectation get to them. In addition expections too high due to lack of depth

if we want to finish in the top half of the conference, we can't have charlie playing big minutes.

he's an end of the bench guy. nice story this year, though.

Fun fact: Both Charlie Easley and Johnny Trueblood played big minutes in victories over Iowa teams with tons of experience, a head coach with close to a decade in the Big Ten, and future NBA players.

Next years team will have some added pieces but for now it is what it is and Easley been playing some quality minutes..Too bad he didn’t knock down that last shot...

Still pissed :mad:the officials didn’t call traveling on the rebound from the previous last Rutgers shot.

FS1 taking the annoying Coach Cam to a whole new level today in the Creighton-Xavier game. Unwatchable nonsense.

Judging by today’s game, it looks Wisconsin plays better without the Big Ten’s most insufferable douche, who’s suspended due to another nut-punch incident.

I hadn't seen that about Davison. What a POS.

Fortunately he’s finally being exposed as one of the dirtiest players in the game and a completely phony *******. Glad the conference finally had the guts to suspend him.

Should have had guts to give him more than one game.
It was funny listening to Milwaukee radio this week play coach gard clip where he was speaking against the suspension. The home state radio guys were even like ‘he has such a reputation this is not a surprise at all and it’s time’. They could not even defend him or wanted to.

Gard seemed to think that since Davison punched an opponent in the nuts last year and didn't get suspended, it was unfair to suspend him this time.

Great life lessons you're passing down there, Coach.
