I was just thinking about how Hoiberg constructs a roster and wonder if husker fans are able to embrace the high roster turnover and usage if transfers. It’s easy to complain after a 7-25 season. But if team wins are we complaining of 3+ players transfers and 3 transfers come in?

I'll go out on a limb and say that Hoiberg has about a 98% approval rating on this board. Every message board is going to include some complaints. If it doesn't, it's a pretty good sign that nobody gives a crap about the program.

I’m not sure we have a good picture of how Hoiberg ideally wants to construct a roster. No way he wants this many guys to leave every year., but that’s what happens when you literally throw together almost an entire roster in a few days/weeks. It was literally like one of those game shows where you’ve got 1 minute to grab whatever you can.

We're lucky to have Fred. He is a good evaluator of talent as well as administratively. There is no question he is doing things in a way that can work here. It is rare for someone with proven knowledge and experience to find their way to a basketball program like ours. Fred will land and lose good and even great players at a way higher clip than the types of coaches we are used to around here. Buckle up, this new roster looks like an actual big ten team, which is a first for us.

Of course we’ll complain! Have you seen the Vedral thread?

There's high roster turnover everywhere in college basketball, and it will get worse when they get rid of the sit-out transfer rule.

Having followed his teams closely at ISU, Hoiberg is one of the best X's and O's coaches in college basketball. We're lucky to have him. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins an NCAA tournament game here before Frost wins a bowl game here.

And I have even seen a lot of complaints on the class he brought in. I mean u get a 5 transfers that all played at power 5 level. All were starters or key contributors. I say solid work but we will see

I’ll start getting edgy if at the end of year three we aren’t looking like a pretty good team. Doesn’t mean we need get to the dance in year 3, but we should be pretty close.

He is the best basketball coach we have ever had. He can stay as long as he wants as far as Im concerned because sooner or later he'll have us deep in the ncaas

I'm kind of at the point with both Hoiberg and Frost that if they can't do it at NU then nobody can.
