Sign him up! Like Beav said in another post, they need to throw as much **** as possible at the wall and see what sticks.

Obviously we'll have to see how recruiting shakes out but I haven't seen where Dewitt's name is frequently attached to players outside Florida (Kaden Johnson?) or to skilled kicking specialists for his special teams units, which are also atrocious. Are we to assume that Grant Detlefsen or Przystup will take over for Armstrong after this year?
Held shaking some trees will be good for the defensive coaches position rooms.
Picking up some Dewitt/Hank Hughes/Reggie Davis recruiting vibes here, hopefully not

Was it Dewitt who was recovering from cancer this year?

I wonder if he didn’t do much recruiting at that time and the other coaches picked up the slack and developed relationships with players... I am hoping he is more active in recruiting in the coming years.

exactly. DeWitt is highly respected in the SE. He's opened some doors for us in to some programs. I expect he will do more on the recruiting trail this next year. His name has been mentioned in the past with quite a few kids but he's been out of commission this past off season.

That is Beckton opening the doors in the SE---well known in GA and Central FL, Dewitt hasn't been a high end recruiter

Right now that is true. DeWitt hasn't been able to recruit for much of the past year. The first 10 months he was fine. People need to relax on DeWitt. His cancer was very unfortunate.

I didn't say that Beckton wasn't helping us in the SE. DeWitt was too before his illness. Give the guy some time to get back in the saddle. He couldn't even talk for a long time let alone travel.
