Good catch.
Bad info on my part, I just assumed we had done this more than once in the Cal era. We did not take a road trip to Nashville and play Vandy that year. Odd. I thought we always got teams from the old SEC East twice a year still despite doing away with divisions. Then whoever is expected to be the best from the west twice a year to fill out the schedule.

Why did UK not play Vanderbilt in a road game in 2015 when they do every year it seems?

Because Vanderbilt wasn’t projected to be as good as whoever it was from the west.

The SEC isn’t hiding the fact that they give UK the most difficult schedule it can every year in an attempt to earn more tv revenue.

They don't do that to Alabama in football, but they have no problem doing that to UK in basketball.

First, there is no SEC "west" in basketball, the conference got rid of the divisions way back in 2011.

Second, Vandy won 21 games in 2015 and finished in the top half of the conference, and gave us the closest game we had all year in Rupp that season. The notion that the SEC screwed us by NOT making us play that team on the road at their place is a ridiculous theory indeed.

Stop being so paranoid.

First, if you don't know what I'm talking about when I say "West", then you aren't paying attention. Yes, they did away with East and West, however, we still only play most west teams once and almost all the east teams twice.

#2, you do realize the schedules are made PRIOR to the season right? Sometimes they don't know a team is going to be a good team.

3rd, you're wrong again. Vanderbilt did not give UK its toughest game, not even close. UK won that game in regulation by 8 points. Texas A & M took UK to two overtimes before losing by 6. Ole Miss took UK to overtime before losing by 3. Simple Google search man, simple Google search.

Nice thought but it was easier to win in Nashville and Knoxville this year than it has been in the past

It is never easy to win in Knoxville, Nashville, or Baton Rouge. Much less all three in the same year. The fact that only 3 UK teams have done it in 22 years should tell you that. We have seen many good UK teams lose to trash UT teams.

The 2010 Wall/Cousins team lost by 9 in Knoxville to a UT team that had zero NBA players. Starters were Wayne Chism, JP Prince, Brian Williams, Bobby Maze, and Scotty Hopson.
Damn, that UT team was 10 years ago? Where does the time go?

You list nit titles yet mock helms championships?
Let's face it, you'd just have one title (not even in the modern era of basketball) if the NCAA had the balls to stop cheating. Every coach in the modern era has had to cheat to win at Kansas. You'll need to cherish the titles the committee of experts gave you in the 20's. You lose.
