Pretty obvious why we are not any better in year 5 .
Interesting , I watched a show on PJ Fleck. He has spent his entire career creating a manual or Binder on the best attributes and processes utilized by some of the best coaches in football . These included Bill Walsh and Nick Saban
Frost doesn’t seem has the back ground that exposed him too or he did not pay attention to the big picture of the head coaches responsibilities before he was hired here.

I get he said “more,” but after the Northwestern game a couple players said they didn’t do live tackling. I believe one of the players was Caleb Tannor. So it’s easy to believe they did little to no live tackling in camp.
I could be remembering that wrong, but that’s what I took from the comment.
First of all Fleck never worked under Saban, and as far as Frosts back round, he probably didn’t pay attention because he played under Bill Walsh, Tom Osborne, Bill Bellicek , and coached Under Chip Kelly. If you want to bash Frost no argument, but get the facts straight before you do!
This is encouraging. Scottie is learning. Can you imagine how long it took stubborn coaches like Saben, Meyer, Sweeney, etc to make a change like this. I have a feeling a winning season could be around the corner in a year or two!
Why in the hell would you watch a show on PJ Fleck? That guys is a self-obsessed used car salesman. I would rather be water boarded than hear a word he has to say.
The issue with the more time you have 1's vs 1's is that the offense is going to run THEIR offense so the defense will get LESS looks of the opposing offense.
I am not saying its a mistake I am just saying there is a negative to doing this more. Bottom line is the defense needs to do the following better:

- Get a push on the line
- Get pressure on the QB using just the front 3 or 4 players.

And the tough sobs that are the cream will rise to the top and you'll have some respected badass leaders
We can't tackle so he doesn't have too much to worry about. We've got 4 more plus others
according to the Head Coach, the team is A LOT better in practice than on game day
holding my breath we don't see the first Grant injury report toward the end of this week courtesy of some up-and-comer fighting for a spot when we play another meaningful game in 2023

Once again, a wrong reactionary move on Frost's part. The starters on both sides of the ball need to get some confidence and there's no better way to do that than beating up on the backups. Going up against a peer opponent is the last thing they need to do when they already have zero confidence.
Isn’t that what Miami and florida st did in the 1990’s so TO decide to do the same thing is 1 vs 1 and we got a lot better. And isn’t that one reason we complained about smiling mike because they didn’t go 1 vs 1?
