Hip replacement doctor recommendations anyone??

Just write "right hip" on the one you want done. That should work.

Dr. Jana thru Methodist is great. I know of about 10 people who have used him and all have done fantastic. He is one of the first in Omaha to do the anterior method and has taught several other doctors in the area his methods. The only problem is that he is very busy because his reputation is very good. So you would probably have to get in line.

Again...this is a several year old post, and I tried Dr. Jana first.

Since there appears to be some interest in this several year old thread....Here is a shot of the mountains (this surgery attempt was done in Denver) after my third attempted repair...





Here is something no hip doctor in the world had ever seen (lucky me) a donor labrum that was rejected and why they had to go back in....(this was the second attempt to fix and my body rejected it, which I was told is impossible



This is how they are supposed to look and this, replaced that piece of bloody shrimp above...




Then all of this got torn out and I replaced the whole damn thing.....

I was 47 when all that started...they were not worn out. Between FAI and getting blasted by a car on a bike ride...I had some issues.

I have actually been hit by 3 cars, I was even on the damn sidewalk one of the times, you'd think you'd be safe there. Bright side is I got a pretty good idea how I'm going to die....so I got that.

I literally just read an editorial where the author is pissed that the headlines about Sean Bradley's injury are mostly like, "Sean Bradley paralyzed in bicycle accident". He makes the point that when a car runs you over from behind it's not exactly accurate to call it a bike accident. He said it'd be like getting attacked in your backyard by a tiger being described as a "backyard accident".

When you are sprawled out on the pavement and your body is burning from head to toe from all the broken bones and you can't move and you hear a lot of sirens you know are making that noise for you and getting closer and you see and hear people get out of their cars shrieking and have 15 people fussing over you in the emergency room, you don't give a fvu ck what somebody calls it.

Wow....that felt good to vent...thank you :)

DR. Garvin. head of Nebraska Health Systems orthopedics .. Always articles on him in a lot of Med mags.
