If Hump hadn't lost his head and made a 6th grade junior high basketball mistake we would have beaten TAM, finished strong and received a 2 seed.

If this happens we are in the West and have a very good chance of reaching final four.

Now on the other hand we should not have lost to IU so it's a catch 22.....

We were not getting a 2 seed. A 3, yes.

Losing @ aTm didn't hurt as bad as Tennessee and Auburn. Win those like we should've and we both would've been 3's. Those meltdowns cost us much more than the Hump call.

We were never getting a 2 seed. Ever.

The difference between a win/loss in that A&M game (or UT or Auburn) was the difference between a 4 and 3.

I disagree. If we had beaten A & M, and not lost to Auburn and Tennessee, we could quite possibly have been a 2 seed. We would have been rolling coming off that Kansas game and looking very strong the remainder of the year with only 5 losses going into the tournament and winning the conference by 4 games.

if we hadn't lost to UCLA, OSU, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU...
there were too many games we should've won and didn't.
And it wouldn't have mattered what our seeding was - we did not have the front court. Probably might have made it to the 2nd weekend, but doubt seriously we'd have seen a FF.

sorry if that sounds pessimistic, I prefer to call it realistic.

If we beat TAM in reg season and win sec I think a 2 seed is possible. Do you disagree?

Yes, I disagree. Changing the result of one game was not going to move us from a 4 to a 2. The committee clearly didn't think highly of our resume, and the collapse down the stretch of several formerly top-50 SEC teams left us with too few good wins.

Well yeah of course but the OP was talking about winning one of those games.

heck we beat AM, KU, Auburn, UT, UCLA and Ohio St we are most likely a 1 seed lol

Our frontline was marshmallow soft , we would have to be guard hot to make a run . Our margin for error was small this year .
