To keep up with recruiting I watched several Wasatch Academy games to see Nolan Hickman play. While I was pleased with Hickman, it was another player who stood out to me, #4 Brennan Rigsby. Apparently the 6'3 uber athletic sharp shooter doesn't have any DI offers.
I simply can't believe a kid with this type of shooting ability and athleticism has gone unnoticed. Barring some serious character issues I'd say sign him up. A team has everything to gain and little to lose taking a kid like this.

Lots of colleges have watched him because several of his teammates other than Hickman are also going to college, including one to Houston. Coaches must not like something about him.

I wanna know how our coaching staff has heavily recruited Hickman at Wasatch and not noticed Rigsby's potential. That's is inexcusable!!!
When this kid matures physical and becomes adjusted to the college game....look out. He could easily be like Jeff Shephard in college or better.

Without doing any research....maybe he didn’t play the big AAU circuit due to be a multi sport guy. Typically if it’s a kid only playing the high school season they go under the radar.

But he definitely looks to be very skilled with sufficient athletic ability to be a college 2.

Looks like a skinny herro. Sign him up.

Reminds me more of Jeff Sheppard or Murray.
Herro had some tude, hard to replicate.

Not explosive athlete, but enough of one. I like form on his shot, gets square even coming off a curl, so will work to get open.

If no attitude problems, I’d like to see a kid like this every couple years added, one not heavily recruited, so not even looking to be OAD or 2AD, but has skills.

There’s a reason why he’s not getting credit for the athleticism...

“sneaky athlete, gritty, hardnosed”

White guards have to overcome stereotypes the same way white receivers do; as opposed to a 6’10 kid or an OLine guy. Preconceived notions are difficult to overcome even for ppl that evaluate for a living. The “athletic for a white guy” concept even if they run a sub 4.5 dash or have a 40+ vert.

What about all the other staffs that have watched and not offered?

So now we’re just picking random players that look decent on teams and getting mad because we haven’t looked at them? Lololol
He plays with Nolan Hickman so the staff has had plenty of opportunities to lay the groundwork. I honestly don't know how he wasn't at least contacted.

I don't care about other coaching staffs. He might have character flaws but it's rare to find a kid with those skills not being heavily recruited. I posted about him because I was perplexed and thought others might have some insight.

There is obviously something about his game that coaches don’t think will translate, I agree he might be worth a walk-on spot because he has to be better than the majority of them. I couldn’t imagine not even a small kid major not offering him if he has college potential. My forms from school got a Gardner Webb scholarship and although it’s Indiana and they do get some press he wasn’t a super high D1 prospect but had a game similar to this kid.
