For 1st place in conference. Watauga is the pretty heavy favorite. Watauga beat Hibriten last year 49-13 and this season is playing out very similar to last year. I'm hoping for a good showing and hope everyone is healthy. We need to win 2 out the next 3 games to ensure a home playoff game.

Watauga is about as well coached of a bunch as you will find. I have always been highly impressed by their program under Habich. We've beat them a few times but we have had to have superior talent to do it.

I was skeptical when watauga first hired a coach from that far east, simply because those systems don't work in the mountains. What I have found out is habich truly cares for his players and they buy in to what habich established in a system and he's gotta so many young athletes from Boone an opportunity to play ball after high school. That is truly special because it never happened when I was there and even before. HHS is a program I've always had a lot of respect for. They run a classy program without question. With that being said I think this is gonna be a 56-14 finish tonight.
