I’ve listened to some of his teammates joke about him running option and how he would just fall down to avoid hits
. Loved Van Brownson. Guys like Gdowski and Quinn would be great in the zone read option game. We should hope Haarberg can become a similar guy to Quinn. Very similar skill set IMO.
Kong, just because HH played better than Sims has the first two games, still doesn’t prove he is a QB that can win the division..
I think every husker fan would love for HH to take the reins and run with it. He showed us something in game 1. But can he do it consistently? As soon as he shows that he is the guy in more than 1 game, people will absolutely come around. People are just gun shy. Can you blame us?

He’s the best quarterback on the team. All the purdy love over the off-season was laugh out loud comical.
All the hemming and hawing we see now was beyond predictable.
I agree every Husker fan should love it.

Exactly, we need to see more than just one game.. Even Frazier started his first game in Columbia and after that game he went off and beat two rated teams at home..
there is no way we you can compare past QB play with current QB play given the supporting cast of stiffs on this team

It is really disappointing that after an entire spring and fall camp with our coaching staff Sims play has regressed when compared to his play under the tutelage of a staff that got fired at G Tech

Just because he is the best QB on the team doesn’t mean much if your going to compare him to the rest of the B1G..
Frank Patrick was our best QB in 1967 but Nebraska wasn’t very good at 6-4..
I’m sure you’ll argue he is one of top 4 in the conference ..
No, he’s wrong about MR playing HH so Simms will be ready to go against Michigan. Simms is fine and could play right now. MR is giving HH the opportunity to take the job permanently. Here’s hoping he performs well and does just that…

A quick look at the top 10 looks like 6 of those schools have QBs that are transfers
need to make sure your coaching staff invests in the right kids
you absolutely cannot get it wrong at QB or it will and should cost you your job - hopefully MR et al will get bailed out by HH
Which is why many are holding out hope for him. I want him to succeed too, and I expect he will get it done today.
My bad.. boring qbs all look the same to me. HH can certainly put up similar numbers to these guys… wouldn’t you say?
