He is a puss like Doc and Mike. He only wants to schedule teams they may be able to beat. Won't surprise me at all if Marshall beats their asses.
This will be Marshla's big game that year..........pitt better be ready as talent level is pretty even.
I would show up as well. Hell, you know there will plenty of good seats for $3 or less (re: free)
If it is on tv, which is a big if, I will probably watch it and cheer for Marshall. No way I would drive two hours or pay $3 to watch it, though.
Ha Ha. You're a cute little fellow. Figuratively, we have gotten in their face, shoved them, called them names, talked about their mama, etc. etc. I don't know what else we can do to get them to start throwing some punches. They just don't want to fight. They know they'll get their asses kicked.

Unlike you begging us to play, we aren't dependent upon Pitt to keep us alive.
We have Texas, Oklahoma, Ok State, Baylor, TCU, Texas Tech, etc... to schedule with. Playing Pitt would just be a luxury nearby game for fans.
You do see the irony in Pitt not wanting to play you, don't you? "There's nothing really in it for them.

No, the irony is that you aren't smart enough to realize what irony means. In your little example, you have reversed Pitt and WVU.
In the last 30 years, or so, WVU has had a very good football program, and Pitt has been irrelevant. WVU has little to gain by playing Pitt. If we beat them, everyone expected it, just like when we play Marshall. If we lose to them, we lost to a joke of a program, just like if we lost to Marshall (which has never happened).
The only positive of playing Pitt is that we recruit that area. That at least gives us some reason to play a team that is beneath us,and irrelevant. Marshall, also beneath us and irrelevant, does not have the luxury of being in a fertile recruiting ground. The only thing that we would typically get would be an easy win, missed recruiting exposure, and a severe hit to our strength of schedule.
Marshall and Pitt really do have a lot in common, though :
1) Second class, irrelevant football program.
2) Severe penis envy of each state's flagship University.
3) Constant need for validation from each state's flagship University.
4) Being located in a crack infested ghetto.
5) Having completely illogical, hypocritical fans.
Back in the leather helmet days, Pitt was relevant. We have owned them in modern history, just like we have owned you...
