Whoa! She's....ummm.....very attractive. Actually, I'm glad I'm not a photographer offering those services. I have the mind of a hormone riddled adolescent.

The reason I ask is that my wife and I were looking at some places that do it in Denver and holy smokes is it expensive. These places have a makeup artist that perform a makeover before the shoot and when all is said and done cost like $1,500+. Is that typical everywhere or is it just because it's Denver and everything in Denver is freaking expensive?

It's like anything else, you get what you pay for. The Denver market is going to be a little higher cost of living than Tulsa, so while that would probably be the very top end for a boudoir package here, it's likely pretty competitive among the top pros in Denver. Just shop around and check out portfolios, customer reviews etc. and look for what you perceive as value rather than price. It's art after all, and art is subjective. It costs what someone is willing to pay for it.

If you look hard enough though, you'll find in every market there are some very talented photographers who embarrassingly undervalue themselves and their work. Just make sure their work is up to snuff. If you need an evaluation of any portfolios let me know.
