Hey OP, did shitting in out-buildings without a cell phone suck?

I used an outhouse in Northern Wisconsin when I was a kid. Also, was at a place where you had to hand pump your water. I think my parents wanted us to experience how life was so that we would appreciate today. Churning butter sucked. :D

Received nice birthday cards from AARP and Forrest Lawn -
note from Medicare telling me how soon I would go into the gap!

Frosty only has 10 years for me to see our return to the CFP and CFC.

Happy Birthday! Enjoy every day!

Wow, you've seen a thing or two in your life. Happy Birthday!

Do you consider yourself a WWI "baby boomer"?

Father was Sargent in the NE Nat'l Guard, sent to Europe WW1, rose up tp First Lieutenant, Offered Captain to stay in, didn't but should have , been Colonel on WW11 rank inflation.

Brother and I both saw Korean duty, him during festivities, me afterwards

I was in FightinFinance, so maybe that doesn't count for much.

You must have gotten it from an old schoolhouse. We had an old schoolhouse in our section and they had multiple holes.

Nothing quite like making a poo right next to classmates or family.

We are complete sissies today. Today a major crisis is when we lose our internet service for a few minutes. I've been lots of places where I would have jumped for joy to have an outhouse. There's nothing like having to take a dump in the rain at 40F without a roof over your head. Hopefully you can find a couple of rocks or a fallen tree to brace yourself against. You just try to keep the poop out of your pants when you squat and hope for the best.
