You ended the Av's winning streak at 2. That might not sound like much but Until last Saturday the Av's hadn't won a game in regulation since December.
Landeskog looked very good last night...were I Av's mgmt I would do my best to sign him at a reasonable rate, although as per your previous postings you are indicating they are serious mizers ...The Pens win was not pretty however....just a grind it out and get the points win imo.

The avs don't get the crowds they used to but enough show up for management to continue their penny pinching ways.

Sportsnet has an article linking Penguins having strong interest in Duchene.

That would be incredible. But Penguins would have to shed money to fit under the cap. Perhaps they would send out Maatta is the core piece of deal. Avs seem to be interested in a young D-man. I think he could be pretty good in another system, he just doesn't fit in Sullivan's system.

I wish they would hurry up and trade Fleury. Give him away for a 7th round pick. The biggest return on him would be opening up $5.75 million cap. Of course if we traded him to Dallas, we'd have to take back Niemi or Lehtonen (sp).

Also on the trade front. There is heavy interest for someone on the Sabres. Seems like every game, Pens have at least 1 scout at their game. They had Karmanos there earlier in week and I think even Guerin was even at 1 of their games recently. So they are really looking at someone. Maybe Evander Kane? He would bring serious speed and skill but he's a mental case, always involved with lot of **** off the ice. I'd rather see them go hard after Duchene or even Landeskog who would fit LW pretty nicely.

Most of the speculation locally has the Av's trying to ship Duchene for a defensemen. If anyone goes he is the most likely. Duchene's name seems to come up with allot of teams. Its someone new everyday.
