now that Phil has struck a blow for old farts everywhere what do you think of the PGA allowing the course to dry up as bad as it did. I know the reasoning behind it somewhat but the old superintendent in me wants to have the course in immaculate condition all 4 days and trick it up by moving the tees and making the pins more difficult, or even allowing the rough to grow more than ususal. I've never been a fan of making the course like a pool table

makes it harder and when the ball will stop, guys fire at the pin. The irrigation ran all night Sunday

playing in vsg a 4 ball at boonesboro. T7 going into today.

I figure they had to....I remember watching the Open a few years ago when it was so dry they were turning on the irrigation right behind the final pairing
