I don’t think you can say “great” wins yet. Seton Hall and Clemson are resume builders, though.

NU has avoided any bad losses, which helps them (assuming they beat the Jr. High team they play next weekend). There are at least a dozen opportunities for signature wins in the conference schedule. Given this team’s profile, the goal shouldn’t just be to make the NCAA tournament. It shouldn’t be to just get the first tournament win in program history. This team should be playing for a 4 or 5 seed at worst, and a trip to the Sweet 16.

All will be revealed in time, just enjoy the ride. Was at the game today taking up some of the vacant student seats. The place was fairly dead but it was fun to see the team up close. Either Sparty is as pleased with the Huskers as I am, or he's just trolling the Bah Humbug Miles crowd!

Probably meaningless factoid...Fullerton lost to Arizona State in OT early in the season. Arizona State beat #1 Kansas tonight.

That result was more of an anomole. Cal State Fullerton is awful this season. They are now 1-9 vs D1 programs.

Huskers have a great opportunity to find two road wins the first week of conference play. Iowa can't play defense, and Maryland is struggling.

Fullerton's actually had an awful season so far, but hopefully they can turn things around a bit in conference play. They were good last year - 20 wins and an NCAA Tournament bid. So this wasn't a case of scheduling an easy win - it just turned out that way.

I think the Huskers have a chance to capture some attention when they go to Maryland next week. Would love to see a 10-15 point win, which would be a turgeon in the punchbowl of the Terps' plan to schedule its way into the NCAA Tournament.

Yes, Fullerton was awful. I'm not sure how they stayed close enough to get to OT with any Division 1 team.

The next two B1G games will be interesting. Both are winnable, but since they are roadies, they could easily be losses. 0-2 would not be the end of the world, but for a team that has expectations as high as Nebraska, they ought to be able to pick up at least one win.

Fullerton should just give up on offensive plays and drive straight to the hoop every single time they have the ball. No passes, just drive to the hoop. It seems that's how they scored nearly all of their points yesterday.
