The day after he fires the guy who is investigating the Russians' interference in our election, he's meeting with them. Not only that, he did it because Putin asked him to. And one of the ruskies has the audacity to make fun of Comey's firing while visiting. He met with the very guy who Flynn lied about discussing sanctions with and Sessions lied about meeting. The Russians also tried to interfere with a NATO allies' election (France and he refuses to call the winner to congratulate) just last week. And he's meeting with them and being all chummy. Our NATO allies must be scratching their heads. The world must think we've gone mad. In addition to all that, he bars American press from the meeting and allows Russian state press. He's got to be the biggest moron on the planet and the deplorables who support them him aren't far behind.

When President Barack Obama announced the “one-time gesture” of releasing Iranian-born prisoners who “were not charged with terrorism or any violent offenses” last year, his administration presented the move as a modest trade-off for the greater good of the Iran nuclear agreement and Tehran’s pledge to free five Americans.

“Iran had a significantly higher number of individuals, of course, at the beginning of this negotiation that they would have liked to have seen released,” one senior Obama administration official told reporters in a background briefing arranged by the White House, adding that “we were able to winnow that down to these seven individuals, six of whom are Iranian-Americans.”

But Obama, the senior official and other administration representatives weren’t telling the whole story on Jan. 17, 2016, in their highly choreographed rollout of the prisoner swap and simultaneous implementation of the six-party nuclear deal, according to a POLITICO investigation.

In his Sunday morning address to the American people, Obama portrayed the seven men he freed as “civilians.” The senior official described them as businessmen convicted of or awaiting trial for mere “sanctions-related offenses, violations of the trade embargo.”

In reality, some of them were accused by Obama’s own Justice Department of posing threats to national security. Three allegedly were part of an illegal procurement network supplying Iran with U.S.-made microelectronics with applications in surface-to-air and cruise missiles like the kind Tehran test-fired recently, prompting a still-escalating exchange of threats with the Trump administration. Another was serving an eight-year sentence for conspiring to supply Iran with satellite technology and hardware. As part of the deal, U.S. officials even dropped their demand for $10 million that a jury said the aerospace engineer illegally received from Tehran.

And in a series of unpublicized court filings, the Justice Department dropped charges and international arrest warrants against 14 other men, all of them fugitives. The administration didn’t disclose their names or what they were accused of doing, noting only in an unattributed, 152-word statement about the swap that the U.S. “also removed any Interpol red notices and dismissed any charges against 14 Iranians for whom it was assessed that extradition requests were unlikely to be successful.”

Three of the fugitives allegedly sought to lease Boeing aircraft for an Iranian airline that authorities say had supported Hezbollah, the U.S.-designated terrorist organization. A fourth, Behrouz Dolatzadeh, was charged with conspiring to buy thousands of U.S.-made assault rifles and illegally import them into Iran.

I heard that this am. Keystone cops have taken over. Embarrassing for our country. We've always been loved and hated. But nobody ever made fun of us. That has changed.

I'd love to know why so many see Obama and Clinton as the "integrity blockers" for Trump. Every time a Trump action is called into question, the response from some on the right is "Obama did worse" or "Clinton did worse" freeing Trump up from constraints of integrity so he can run freely.

Is integrity really that relative?

Just pointing out the hypocrisy of those on the left. The meeting with the russians was already scheduled so the Trump could reap the rewards of even more financial misdeeds at the expense of the American public.

I guess I'm of the mind that liberals and Democrats know their reps have failed in major ways too.

I don't buy the collusion was done in favor of one over the other. We know that the Russians channeled millions to both Clintons and the Podestas. I think it's more of a trump thing where he, in this case the russians, gave money to both sides to get what they want.

Yeah, DD had a theory in which he believed the Russians were just trying to bog down whomever won the election in controversy, in order to allow "space" for Russian aggressive tactics in the ME (or at least he said something resembling that). Made sense.

One thing no one on the Left has ever been able to explain is this:

If the Russians did "collude" with Trump to help him steal the election from Hillary how did they do this?

If it's THAT obvious they did this, why is there no evidence of their skullduggery? Why hasn't anyone explained how they did it or produced the evidence of it if everyone is so convinced they did it?

What is so hard to find or explain about this on the Left?

Yet they persist with their "Russians stole the election for Trump from Hillary" sideshow.

It's no wonder you support that mf'er. You're as dumb as he is. You obviously haven't been paying attention. You do know that the FBI, and two congressional committees are investigating this very issue. And they aren't publicly discussing what evidence they have. But we do know that Trump's NSA was fired for lying about his contacts with the Russians. We also know that Sessions had to recuse himself (despite recent events) from anything related to the russian investigation. We know through Comey's and other's testimony that they know russia hacked the DNC and distributed emails. We alson know they did the same to the French. You are a complete dumbass for asking the questions you did. But everyone here already knew that.

Sessions should have told the dems to F off. He was never involved in it. You hated comey when he brought to the public the info that Hildabeast was being investigated and then again right before the election. My take is, get somebody new, somebody who doesn't crave the limelight.

Yet in your fallacy filled response you never explained just exactly how the Russians stole the election nor did you produce the non refutable evidence of their activity.

Hacked e-mails? Yep that did it

Two Congressional committees looking into it...well they sure have it all spelled out don't they?

NSA fired for lying about Trump's Russian contacts? You had said just before that no one's talking about any evidence they have about his 'collusion', so how do you know what they were discussing was related to any "collusion"? Who's produced THAT evidence RPJ?

Sessions recused himself from the investigation. He was never involved in any of it, nor alleged to be involved in it.

We know Russia hacked the DNC...yes and Trump gave them the password as well as the slimy content that showed up afterwards right?

They did the same to the French....and they managed to switch all those votes from LePen to Macron right?

Not to mention all those votes in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, & Wisconsin right RPJ?

My suggestion to you by the way RPJ...

Try and think of another word to characterize everything I post besides "dumb".

It makes you appear so perspicacious.

Where are all those Trump/Putin pictures ?

The only way to prosecute Hilliary was to fire Comey...

Are these photos of US elected officials meeting with a foreign head of state? I think photos of businessmen meeting with Putin when they have no official government position, are much different in nature. Still doesn't mean jack to me, but what I think you're trying to say with this post is bs.

No. If everyone wants to get into the picture game with Putin, how can you compare the two. It's like people getting all itchy about Trump meeting with Russian officials right now....ridiculous. Businessmen meeting with a foreign head of state is simply telling that that person (or the org they represent) have business interests in line with that foreign state. Doesn't mean it's "inside" or corrupt. Just means there are business ties, or at least there might be, or at one time could have been.
