Every guy projected in the 1st round should test the waters. Doesn't mean they do, but this new agent thing has me worried that kids that would come back will be talked into going now. An agent is going to be like one in the hand. I hope Herro comes back I can live with KJ going because we have Brooks and Whitney coming in. We won't know anything until they have to pull their names like with PJ last year.

That 3 pointer he made when they desperately needed it against Auburn’s diminutive guards was epic.........whoops
Or that time he carried the entire team on his back vs Arkansas when nobody acted like hey wanted to be in the floor except him. 28 points including icing the game with FTs at the end. That was epic....... WHOOPS—- that really happened

He did not have the best tournament but Cal did nothing new at all to get him open or run any offense through him.

It really would put Kentucky over the top. Our offense would have legit range, leadership and solid defense. Herro's play may or may not be enough to keep us from mloosing to MSU (We should be fine without him, honestly).. but it's certainly enough to make sure we go the OOC slate with 1 loss, at most.

Herro is good enough and composed in such a way that Kentucky won't lose many games. We won't be in late game scenarios, most of them will be decided much earlier.

that’s where he is as a player. he’s good, and i’m glad we had him for a year.
The reason Tyler came to UK was to be able to improve his game to be OAD.

That’s where UK is as a program. Tyler came here and has accomplished what he came here to do.

Cal’s reputation draws these kids to UK and we have a shot at the Final 4 EVERY year because of it. In NO WAY was my post a knock on where we are as a program, just pointing out the obvious.

Maybe he just loves making money more then going to class. Come to think of it he and I have a lot in common as do most people in this country
Great for Tyler!!

I’m happy for him and sad at the same time because he will be leaving.

You can be both.[eyeroll]

I think the hates school stuff is a little silly and I kinda doubt it is true but none the less I am sure he will go as he should he is going to be top 25 pick. We got the guy back we should of ( Hagans ) and thank the lord for that. Our roster is top 3 with him. Becomes top 2 if Jerome and or Guy goes pro from UVA .

As much as I like Tyler, his stock is never going to be higher.

In the tournament he had trouble getting his shot off.

A lot of that had to do with Cal screaming for him to pass the ball inside.

I would love to see him come back, but the amount of crap he took from Cal and some of our fans was just over the top.

How were fans hard on Tyler?I saw much more hate for Hagans with some even saying they hope he leaves. And people are always trashing poor Nick.KJ also got a lot of hate.

I disagree. I think his stock can most definitely improve. Im not sure what you mean by crap he took from Cal though. I didnt see Cal on him anymore than any other player. Can you elaborate? I do recall the joking banter back and forth at the beginning of the season but I think that was light heartedness

Herro is signing with Excel Sports Management agent Jeff Schwartz. He is big time. Herro will not be testing the waters. He is gone. You will see him in a new car soon. Hate to be the messenger of bad news.

K, Excel sports management, Jeff Schwartz..... if he doesn't sign with them, from that day forward anytime you say "source" on this board I am going to post this, and we will all laugh at you....

You want more to laugh at. Keldon is signing with Steve McCaskill with One Legacy Sports.
When it comes to agents and who is going you can check it out and try to laugh every time I post it each year.

In order of players we need to come back to be title good next year.
1. PJ (gone)
2. EJ (hoping for a big jump from year 1 to year 2)
3. Richards (we need depth in the front court)
4. Herro (more than likely gone)
5. Quickley
6. Keldon (gone)
7. Hagans (staying)
8. Baker (looking like another transfer)

The key is getting Herro back. And Baker to a lesser extent. This lineup would be lethal:
PG:Quickley
SG:Maxey
SF: Herro
PF:Whitney
C: EJ
Substitutions
1. Hagans
2. Sestina
3. Brooks
4. Baker
5. Richards

The team that would be guaranteed for #9 would be:
PG: Quickley
SG: Maxey
SF: Herro
PF: KJ
C: Sestina
-bench-
1. Hagans
2. Whitney
3. EJ
4. Brooks
5. Baker
6. Richards

This team could platoon but that will never happen again. We blew that shot in 2015
This is not close.

Highly doubt Hagans came back to come off the bench. I would assume he will be in the starting line up.
I agree. I really just think Quickley will be better next year. Quick is gonna be a sophomore too. There will be no need to show favoritism if Quickley outperforms him.

There are no guarantees for a title, not in the random, one bad game/call of the NCAA tourney, please put that to rest.
I agree that there’s no 100% guarantees in life but with that team, UK would be WAY up while the rest of college basketball would be down. We’d have our best shot at a title since 2015.

Every draft site has Herro rising, highest was 15th lowest 26...I really wish he would return, but with that guarantee, hard for him to pass up. Returning could be a risk to possibly move up 5 to 6 spots. With injuries happening the past season just shows that anything can happen. Draft of 2020 is much deeper than this year.
Keldon on the other hand could play into lotto, and if he had a perect year, winning everything poy #9 etc, he could be a top pick based on his measurables...now before everyone jumps me it would have to be a perfect season. Like 20 pts 9 rb 3 ast 2 stl blk shooting 40+% from 3 and 80 %ft.
All based on his height, wingspan, etc...
but him returning may happen cause his draft position like Littles has fallen out of lotteru

Disagree. Tyler would likely have the type of sophomore season as PJ did and I could easily see him as 1st team AA. His draft stock would rise accordingly. But, I’d say chances are he leaves this year.

I don't think the 2020 draft is deep at all. You aren't going to have that sure fire trio of Cam, RJ and Zion.. No Morant, a mid-major kid who blew up (like a Curry), It's a class of bigs who will get drafted, but will probably have more struggle than the offensive minded Guards and SF's did in this years draft.

I've seen some mock drafts for 2020 and.. I don't see much at the moment. Almost all freshman, from a 2019 class that has a lot of projects like McDaniels and Wiseman.

PJ would not have gotten drafted last year. Herro seems to be a pretty safe first rounder. It’s not the same situation. The NBA wouldn’t give a crap if he ended up being an all-American.
