Can we just have the Golden Corncob everyone wants? Compared to Floyd of Rosedale, LIttle Brown Jug, etc, Heroes Trophy is a pathetic PC joke.

Trophy is a bit weird. Concept and the intention of honoring civilian hero's is pretty dang cool. The more we can do that, the better.

What is so wrong with embracing our agricultural heritage? Ever have Cheesy Corn Fritters? https://houseofyumm.com/corn-fritters/
But, but, but . . . That thing about a broken chair is really, really cool . . .
I'm just not a fan of these manufactured, corporately-sponsored trophy games.

Give me the $5 Bits of Broken Chair anyday. It may be a joke, but it's our joke. The Heroes and Freedom trophies were conjured up by a bunch of administrators.

I feel like our opinions on these trophies might differ if we ever won one
I disagree. We've lost the $5 Bits of Broken Chair more often than not, and I still love it. The other two, not so much. I would love beating Iowa and Wisconsin, but those trophies feel fake.

I actually like that one because it came about organically. There's a story behind it, and a pretty funny one at that. The Heroes trophy was something that was just created for the game when it was made our "rival" game. I wish they would have just let the Iowa/Nebraska thing develop naturally.
