All these message board idiots with their "sources" like the troll Bert Stare and others were pumping Napier so hard that everybody went all in on him like he's Vince Lombardi. It was Napier or bust with some people. They built him up to be the greatest coach ever, not a coach who was fired by Dabo as Clemson's offensive coordinator and has been a head coach for two seasons at ULL, and the first season posted a 7-7 record. Many people built Napier up so much that anybody else would be a disappointment. Sark is the ONLY coach we supposedly interviewed (other than Chizik) who had ANY power 5 head coaching experience. Look at his resume. It's pretty great. Five years at Washington where he built that program back up after Ty Willingham dropped a nuclear bomb on it. They were 0-12 the year before he got there and he had an overall winning record in five seasons, including nine wins his last year. Was 9-4 in his only full season at USC before alcohol problems got him fired. He's been an NFL offensive coordinator and the OC for one of the best offenses Alabama has ever had. Nick Saban has hired him twice. If he has gotten his alcohol problems behind him, I think it could be a great hire. But it won't be for a lot of people, because message board trolls have convinced them it's Napier or bust.
