I was at a grandmonster's FB game in Da Nort today.
So of course I didn't see the game.
I could plow through the 60 page game thread, but am too old and decrepit to do so.
(Yes, I can read, in case eyesofhawk reads this)
In a nutshell, what happened?
Offense abysmal again?

Iowa lives on a razor edge every game. KF doesn't care AT ALL if you watch a game.

They no longer have a physical advantage over anyone and KF wont admit that to himself or others.

You missed nothing.

Play of the game was on the clone's last drive (sans the kneeing). They have to convert 3rd down or punt, giving Iowa the opportunity to break the tie and win. The pass is tipped and pops way up in the air goes down field and their TE catches the ball for a 17-yard gain. They kick the go ahead 54 yd FG. Iowa gets the ball back with almost two minutes to score. Our QB gets sacked twice.

I think Iowa will be ok. The defense impressed me, Phil did it again. Offensively they’ll ride the run game with Gronowski and the backs, it hasn’t meshed yet, but they’ll find a rhythm and what works for them and be ok. To me , it doesn’t feel like a lost cause like it did with McNamara. I know nobody likes to give Iowa State credit, but that’s a solid team. Jim Walden isn’t over there anymore

we are overall better than we were last year but no difference maker. a kaleb or cdj or charlie jones or moss — basically someone who can make a big play in either direction is absent.

Passing game is beyond bad and Im 58 not sure I will ever see another hawkeye 300 yd passer in a game before I kick the bucket and clones got a lucky break on bad pass that went off wr hands right too their te

That was the play of the game. we get the ball back with plenty of time to at least kick a game tying fg. But the offense once again lays a wet fart.

At least they lost to a very good ISU team for a change. Tough road environment. I feel good about the defense. Not sold on Gronk. Our Wrs still suck ***.
