The French don't hate America. Most Europeans distinguish between the American government and the American people. France has its own issues between people of different political beliefs. The French have been allies of the United States since the American Revolution.
How could anyone not like America? We gave the world rock and roll.
Fresh from a direct flight from the USA to Charles de Gaul airport in Paris circa 2010, some French dickhead gets in my face and presumably curses at me. I can assure you the French, in part, don't view America highly or its people despite us saving their pompous *** on multiple occasions.

Easy, just learn a few German phrases...you don’t need to know what they’re saying, ask their age, maybe for their papers. They’ll understand.

If it wasn’t for The United States..... all of the French would be speaking German.
I have trouble believing this since most had their bags packed, donning blue and orange gear, and headed to gator country immediately after it was announced.
