I know Kirk gets plenty of hate but I’m glad he and others are finally expressing their opinion on this.
Nah, he is untouchable at the Four Letter Network. He’ll be next. Disney won’t stand for that.
For me and you? Maybe not. For a tv personality or public figure? There absolutely isKirk Herbstreit is so oppressed lol clearly his faith is holding him back
I don’t pretend to know the science of whether trans athletes have an advantage. On the surface, the thought of a biological male competing against females is absurd. Shouldn’t be allowed.
But please, let’s check the “oh no I’m a Christian and we are persecuted for everything” fallacy at the door.

Kirk is right that a lot people who are either Christian, culturally Christian, or just traditional in mindset have been censored and shut down because some of those views are antithetical to the prevailing culture in the US. Especially, in our traditional media and much of social media so that many people self-censor, even though they disagree. Transgender males in female sports is a perfect example.

Even Caitlin Jenner is strongly against biological males playing against women. In his opinion, no amount of hormones can change the fact that e.g. in competitive swimming, men's hands are bigger along with greater lung capacity. Common sense is common sense although that concept seems to be out of vogue.I'm a Christian and we're "persecuted" for some things... stepping through the door and walking to the middle of the room.

I mean its nuanced. It's also such a huge edge case to even talk about. What do I mean by that? Theres been 1, 1 example where a biological male competed in women's swimming. I don't really feel like they should be competing in women's sports. But I'm also, not really that interested in the subject at all. However, lots of politicians sure are, and the media keeps talking about it, so everyone feels like they MUST make an opinion on the subject.
It's one of those subjects where I feel people use it to then try to vilify each other.
Also, can christians please stop playing the 'oh we are so oppressed' narrative. It's just so crybaby considering their majority voting block. What they mean is that when they say things online, some people disagree with them, and that hurts their feelings.
Help im being oppressed. It's more than 1 example. There are dozens. White Christians are being attacked - simple facts. So simply put - go f your bigoted loser self.
Amen. The woke crowd dares us not to express our opinions. I could say more, but I'll stop now.Good for him...glad to see some people are getting sick of the media and ridiculous agendas being pushed down our throats week in and week out.
Should someone be scared to say that it is not OK to let men play women's sports. Or someone transitioning or with excessive amounts of testosterone that is above levels allowed for "females"
It's common sense
Try telling that to RG3, Samantha Ponder, and David Pollack.Kirk Herbstreit is so oppressed lol clearly his faith is holding him back

They must do really bad job of self-censoring because all I ever see on social media is conservative Christians complaining about today’s biggest outrage.I'm a Christian and we're "persecuted" for some things... stepping through the door and walking to the middle of the room.

The inmates are running the asylum ( country). This goes for either side.yeah and unfortunately Kamala literally just had an interview stating that America needed to be more woke. It was an embarrassing interview. Even one of the host had a WTF look on her face wondering what the hell she was saying. It was awful...
But yeah...here we are
The only ones open about it, yep. You can throw Sage Steele in there, too.So they’re the only Christians who worked for ESPN?
We just need to clearly define biological male and female and stick to those lines.
It seems this would be simple but separate sports governing bodies don’t seem to agree on what constitutes a male and female.

Yep, we can agree to disagree. It's probably got a lot to do with our perspectives. They must do really bad job of self-censoring because all I ever see on social media is conservative Christians complaining about today’s biggest outrage.
We’ll just have to agree to disagree that Christianity isn’t mainstream in America if that’s how you feel.

Help im being oppressed.
See how that works? Have some backbone, you live in a free society. It takes strength to be free, and sometimes people will hurt your feelings. But being free certainly is better than the safe alternative.
Could you please ease up on your Christianty comments. There is a board for that.So they’re the only Christians who worked for ESPN?
I really don't understand how people can be so sensitive. Calm down, no one in your entire community is struggling with this issue. You are just mad about things people said online.it's not about hurt feelings - it's about simple facts like knowing what a woman is, knowing men can't get pregnant and knowing men should not compete with women in sports. and to my freedom - f off, you are a bigot.
Arguments like this are why it is ridiculous. You realize you can hold more than one concern at a time right. Perhaps it is difficult to protect all women at all times from violent men. You know what is easy —— not advocating for trans dudes to beat the crap out of women in female sports. It’s an outrageous concept because the answer is so crystal clear and yet if the so called famous people just try to speak plainly about a simple topic they are vilified.I don't think biological males should compete against biological females but the way this non-issue has been ginned up like some festering epidemic is another culture war joke. Guys like Kirk look for things to be outraged about so they can then whine and pretend they're the ones being attacked.
I mean statistically speaking...who is more dangerous to the well-being of women in this country? Trans athletes or garden variety red-blooded males? Estimates show that roughly 1 in 3 women will face some kind of physical/sexual violence in their lifetime. Would be great if people would go crazy about those stats instead of the 1 in 10 million or 1 in 100 million trans athletes out there somewhere in the world.
I remember when Nikki Haley made the asinine connection at one of the primary debates between trans athletes and teenage suicide rates, and someone pointed out that the high school league of SC reported something like 7 attempted trans athletes the last decade combined. Just more empty culture war BS used as red meat for their base who's constantly looking for outrage and victimhood.
Wake me up when people get outraged over the fact that 1 in 3 women will face some sort of physical/sexual violence.
Which Bible verse is go f your bigoted loser self? I missed that one on the last read through. It's more than 1 example. There are dozens. White Christians are being attacked - simple facts. So simply put - go f your bigoted loser self.
Certainly. I think anyone trying to police speech in a public forum is wrong. Now, that’s not to say I’m in favor of inciting a riot or anything like that. But that’s maybe 0.01% of speech.Yep, we can agree to disagree. It's probably got a lot to do with our perspectives.
Hopefully we could agree that trying to keep someone else from freely expressing their opinion and allowing open debate, would be something that we wouldn't want in a free society.
I think we need more diversity of thought and "good" speech opposing "bad" speech, and people arguing with facts and truth, than just telling people that they're hateful and need to shut up. Goes for both sides.
Kirk did an interview saying there are different rules for Christians, not me. He so badly wants to be oppressed that he has to actively search for something to get angry about so he’ll get a little Twitter pushback.Someone clearly thinks about Christians alot, good for you.
