oof....so was it that Hobbs had no interest in him, that would seem to be the lean here unless Sendek just wants to ride into the sunset with no pressure

GREAT place to live
Not from a cost of living standpoint. Have friends who work in Santa Clara. Apple, Facebook, Google and other tech companies have exploded, and rentals and buying houses/condos is extremely expensive. Much more expensive than NJ.

Yes, it has always been expensive in the Bay Area, more so now due to tech boom. Still a great place to live...if you can afford it

Maybe Hobbs is not impressed with his sideline demeanor?

20 years ago or so, I lived in Cincinnati when Herb was Coach at Miamu U of Ohio. He gave a talk at the Cincinnati Athletic Club. I was pretty excited leading up to the talk. It was probably one of the most boring talks I ever sat through, including CLE classes on mundane areas of law.

That said, can't argue with the guy's track record. If he could do what he did at Arizona, most of us would be ecstatic. Maybe the Jersey connection is considered more important for this hire?

Could be before Jordan was let go Hobbs reached out to the agents that handled available coaches interest in taking the RU job and found out Herb wasn't very interested despite the rumors claiming he was.
Just because he wasn't mentioned as a candidate, doesn't mean 3rd party talks didn't happen and that's why Sendek wasn't in the running after Eddie was let go.
