Yes there would be a Herb Pope thread here if SHU was 13-15 or had our record. And if something happened to one of our players there would be a thread on their message board. Not sure why you would think otherwise.
I agree. And there would be a thread here if one of our guys farted loudly. And we are no better.

Seriously, Batts? After the drumfire of virulent, hate-filled anti-RU garbage posted on your board by numerous veteran SHU posters when we were conference mates? The few good guys like Source were nearly as scarce as hairs on Mr Clean's head. Go back and check your archives. To be fair, we had a few haters also, but not near as many.

So two wrongs make a right? I have never spewed hatred towards your Program or particular players, can you say the same thing about your SHU posts? Also, I don't recall too many of our posters engaged in personal attacks against your players. It was mostly about how RU was or isn't good or stinks, etc.

In any event, it's just a message board. I do apologize for being a little on the sanctimonious side. Fire away.

Herb is own worst enemy. Apparently, he has personal demons that cause him to make terrible decisions.

Miller tried to jam in garbage time and Pope didn't let him. Herb has had a drinking problem for years. People saw him earlier this year and said he seemed happy and content. But I guess that was short lived.
herb pope is a pos and so is anybody who defends him

I don't think anyone is really using his troubled background and alcoholism to defend him. They merely are pointing to his problems as to why he makes such terrible decisions. If you do the crime, you need to be punished accordingly.

Out of curiosity, do you feel the same way about your incarcerated former player and posters who defend him as well ?

Pope will pay for what he did, if found guilty and if he can use drinking as an excuse his lawyer should use it to get Herb the help he needs and Herb should accept any help he can get. In prison or out Herb must try to lean how better himself so he doesn't get in trouble again.
But being a drunk is not a valid excuse for anyone that is/was accused of bank robbery .

Herb was never punished by SHU because a few months later he suffered a cardiac arrest and was revived by the coaching staff. I believe he was in a coma, had surgery and spent a few months in the hospital. By the fall when he was miraculously cleared to play basketball, the entire nut punch incident was forgotten.
Holy Cow

bad news and bad luck rolled into one. The above is enough health problems for a lifetime

That said,,,,good luck playing coy at those prison dances.....
