Henry's closes at 6pm tomorrow. I just called them. On top of that, they didn't even know there was a basketball game.

What a ridiculously missed opportunity for them and I can't understand why they wouldn't stay open even another hour or two to capitalize on the basketball crowd.

This is so silly. I guess we'll go somewhere else then...

I called again, inspired by this thread. And they said that the students will come work as servers, but they can’t get any of them to work in the kitchen, so they just don’t have the kitchen personnel to stay open for longer hours.

I called again, inspired by this thread. And they said that the students will come work as servers, but they can’t get any of them to work in the kitchen, so they just don’t have the kitchen personnel to stay open for longer hours.

So they can’t hire outside of the student population to staff the kitchen? That seems strange. How would you staff ancillary positions throughout the university otherwise? Am I missing something?

just a lost opportunity to not capitalize off of game day at the rac....would be better off if they closed for other days and then were open all day game day. Could make major business before and after. I just do not get it

I think it was clear that it’s a staffing issue. The “why” it’s a staffing issue is the question. For the record I’m not buying the lazy younger generation theory.
