Closed on weekends and only open 12-6 during the week.Is Henry's open again? Haven't been in years with COVID and all the craziness where it wasn't open. Thinking of going before one of the games.
For anyone who has been there is it still pretty good?

Talk about poorly managedDammit
Very true. Lack of foresight. Hopefully it gets corrected. Put a pub next to the apparel shopthats just bad....the fact that RU doesnt have a place open right next to the RAC on game day or night is absurd. One would think that they built those buildings and put those stores in but yet really nothing that fan traffic would eat at...i guess there is qdoba but is that even open
But only on 60 event nightsA sports bar in that complex would make an absolute killing, doubt Rutgers would entertain that though
You always got ApplebeesFor as good as the atmosphere is inside the RAC, it really sucks outside. There is very little nearby outside of NB for the pregame or postgame crowd. Even the Rutgers Club can Only accommodate relatively small numbers and fills up early.
It’s a shame Henry’s Diner doesn’t modify its hours for game/match nights.
It's on their website. When did Henry’s change its hours? We went there for dinner before a non-conference game in November.
We used to go there a couple of times per season, but 12-6 pm is useless, even in general. If you're going to be open for dinner, in theory, it has to at least be 8 pm - and that would cover pretty much all the games. Just dumb.
Im wondering if sit down diners are even popular with students
NJ diner culture has been dying a slow death since the 2009 recession. COVID put it on life support.
We are essentially Massachusetts now where everything closes early and if you're hungry and desperate after 8, pray there is a McDonald's nearby. Few if any current college students know what it is to stumble into an all-night Gag n' Puke at 2:30am to get 24/7 breakfast and curse the fact they need to be up in a few hours to cover a shift after a night out.

same here....I would like to go a couple hours before tipoff....I can pull in easily into the parking lot to boot....now, it is just about impossible to do so....We used to go there a couple of times per season, but 12-6 pm is useless, even in general. It's sad but you're on to something. I pulled up late to my favorite diner, The Pompton Queen, a couple weeks back....might have been 10:30 or 11 pm. I walk in and the guy is like "woah woah, we're closed buddy." When the heck did that happen?
Still the best breakfast in the area, but I guess the overnight hours weren't worth it for them anymore. That's really sad to hear: haven't been there in a while, used to take the boys there for breakfast as a treat.

Qdoba is open until 10, Hoja until 9, Kilmer Market is open until 11 and has really good sandwiches. Rutgers Club is of course an option if you sign up in time, but you can also go to livi dining hall for something like $19 and have the buffet. Tonight is cook to order noodle bar, which was one of my favorites as a student.thats just bad....the fact that RU doesnt have a place open right next to the RAC on game day or night is absurd. This is it. Place is packed every day.Probably don’t have enough staff. I would think if they could be open during those times and make more money, they would.
They are. Henry's is packed every day, especially during meal swipe hours.Im wondering if sit down diners are even popular with students
