The only B1G bowl left is the GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit, MI, so that's where we're going. Hooray?

Iowa St and K St declined bowl games. Any impact?
Well, that's why the Rate Bowl has New Mexico instead of a Big XII team. But no impact on us, unless the B1G is trying to negotiate with Game Above to release us to play in one of the Big XII's vacant slots (... ain't happening...).

Central Michigan is terrible. Illinois crushed them 38-0, in a game where the home pumpkin head fans were booing at half time after a poor first half.

We will crush them. 7-6!

Illinois beat Western Michigan, not Central Michigan, 38-0. (Western beat Central 24-21.) Michigan beat Central Michigan 63-3.

But I agree with your point -- we ought to win by a lot.

Central appears to have a two headed QB system. They main guy is an IA transfer who has negative career yards rushing. The other guy mainly a runner.

The passer doesn't have huge stats, but only 6 INTS and spreads it around well.

To me, the key to the game will be if 2 of our top 3 RBs play, the status of which will likely be as mysterious as gifts from Santa.

Hope this will prove to be an opp to demo Boe’s skill level, or lack thereof. I’ve seen enough of stone
If CMU truly is a slam dunk opponent in a lame postseason destination that no one in the college football universe will be watching regardless, then I'd love to see Boe get the first-string reps.

Crap. It was last season they beat them. (In a weirdly close game!)

I travel to Detroit often for work. Highly recommend the Henry Ford museum. Very cool.

Stay north of Detroit, it’s safe and clean. Don’t go west into Dearborn unless you like Sharia Law.
I went to the Ford Museum last time we were there in 2003. Give me another reason to go.

Those don't exist for us. I don't imagine we will be favored by more than 1 score

You can take a picture of the 8 Mile Rd exit? Sorry, I can’t offer much of an endorsement. I only said I travel there often for work, not that I personally like doing it

Just curious as to where you're staying? I too travel there a lot (I'm downtown). I think it's great. Great bars/restaurants, very walkable, some great architecture (The Whitney Building is a jewel). I would love to go to bowl as I'll have a free parking spot LOL but the early afternoon 12/26 gametime not working well with 12/25 family plans.

He isn’t gonna be the starter next year either, pointless
Even if we buy a QB from the portal like everyone else does, it wouldn't hurt for our backup to have quality experience either to cover the eventual starter from injury or if we get another Mike Wright situation where it's a bad pick out of the gate.

Haha I should’ve said don’t STAY in Dearborn
What is wrong with Dearborn? I used to live there. Demographic has changed slightly since I moved but still is a nice suburb of Detroit! Lots of really nice people there of all ethnicities! Safe as Evanston in my opinion! Great restaurants and greenfield village/hf village is awesome! Lots of blue collar motor company employees live there. Can you elaborate on why you don’t like the town??

I'm trying to figure out who's going to the game and whether you will do the NAA pep rally and/or the post game victory party at a local bar and grill. Also, what are others doing about a ticket so we can all sit in the same area in good seats. This old man needs some guidance.
