While I will admit that Tua makes some pretty impressive plays, how many quality opponents has he played? I know I am basically repeating things said about Tua. Personally a two way tie for first between Tagovailoa and Lawrence, two way between Hurts and Martinez, then Taylor, Ehlinger, and Fromm. Unsure why Fields is up that high...

Correct me if you want, I am up for a healthy debate.

Nothing hostile, please.

I’d probably move Martinez down a peg to be on the same level as Fromm. I just don’t think we’ll be good enough as a team to give Martinez a legitimate Heisman shot next year. I think we will get there soon, but Frost needs more time to build up a roster with better all around depth. Otherwise, in my very amateur opinion, I basically agree with your assessment.

Alabama's schedule was ranked as the most difficult in the nation last year by a number of ranking services and top 5 -10 by almost all of them ... I don't know how they come up with these rankings but I suspect the quality of your opponents plays a pretty big role

Tua may or may not be overrated but by virtue of simply playing in the SEC championship, the national semifinal and then national championship he is playing against more of the highest quality opponents than almost anyone .. he played 4 teams that finished in the top 10 ... we played one

Murray played against 3 - which includes texas twice
Lawrence played against 2

Johnny Manziel and Robert Griffith played on 9-3 teams.

I want to drink the kool-aid, but on a maybe-third-best team in the Big 10, he'll have to have better numbers than ALL the other candidates to be seriously considered. I still have too many concerns about our other skill positions (WR, RB) to imagine that we are going to be an offensive juggernaut in 2019.

I thought Tua should have won it last year, but injuries limited him a bit at the end of the year. I still thought he was more impressive than Murray.

Martinez talent wise is as good as those top guys are at QB...but unfortunately for him he doesn’t have the talent around him those other QBs have and won’t have a chance to truly compete this year. I just hope we field a team good enough around him by the time he’s a senior to give him a legit chance to win the Heisman.

More than the previous two winners and he should have won it last year.
