That's what I'm having a problem with. Guys like him and I get it. I do as well but at what point does the excuse making stop? The OL sucks, RBs average, WRs can't catch, Satterfield can't call plays...etc etc etc. How about calling a spade a spade. Nobody made all those excuses when Sims was stinking up the joint. All we heard was "he's a turnover machine" " get his *** out of there". "How much longer are we gonna watch Sims turn it over before we play someone else".
THAT was what was said about Sims. ..and deservedly so I might add. He needed to be replaced. Give someone else a shot.
All I ask is keep that same energy when talking about our current turnover machine. It can't be OK for Sims but not OK for HH. Say what you want but the "math ain't mathing"
Holla
Thats a fair assessment. Sims is playing against Minnesota and Colorado and both are losses. HH is playing lower level teams and wins. He even wins against a few crappy Big 10 teams, in spite of himself. But, he has shown us all of his flaws now and it appears to be catching up to him. Can he win again. Maybe.
Fans know we only have 2 qbs, and deep down, we trust neither. So, you stay with the guy you think maybe can eke out a W. HH and Sims are both really bad. But, in fairness, Sims is much more experienced, so his boneheaded turnovers are just inexcusable at this point in the game. We took the guy GA Tech was happy to see go. Fans are getting plenty frustrated with HH.
My opinion is that he’s been the best athlete on the field since he was young. That does not mean he’s a competent qb. His skill set is extremely limited and I dont believe he’ll improve much where it matters.
