If he had played last night, good chance Frost is still the HC.

Yes, along with #0 transfer from Arizona State “Hill?” You don’t think that wasn’t a coincidence??? Did USC ever go up against that kid before??

Probably not. Chins could or would not adjust to the split zone play. It doesn't get more basic than what they were doing. I can only guess Chins kept thinking the LB's would figure our a blocker was coming across on them but I guess not.

Hausman, Gifford and Hill were the targets IMO.
Hausmsn missed a bunch of run fits with at least one mistake ending in a long TD run. Not all that surprising given his youth

they picked on Hill but damn their WRs made some insane diving catches

Great catches. I look at this NU team and it's co-captains: Nick Injured, Vokolek Injured, Tanner and Nelson both underperforming.

All, when healthy, playing their *** off and getting no results.

I do think now is the time to reassess the Blackshirts and how they have performed. Go back to no one has a Blackshirt, and make them earn it now.

Asking a true fresh to do a lot against a team that was well coached and executing. Heinrich wouldn’t have been guessing on the run fits.

FWIW, Frost got a gift when he was retained. But I think the simple fact is that Heinrich would have served to limit those blow out runs they made. And that was the game.

Maybe let Buford keep his. I'm saying this as one of his earliest critics on here.

Dude literally the only one playing without "fear of failure" and makes as many plays as he makes mistakes, if not more.

He's definitely not afraid to fail. He is terrible on run support.

for sure hein would have stopped them after only a 10-12 gain. pass rush cost us the game. too good of a strike thrower to just let him stand there and make throws to guys who could make catches

Every coach will do the exact same thing. Run the ball at Feist, and throw the ball to whoever Gifford is covering.

He can't tackle a cheerleader. I'd say the whole linebacker group is why Frost got fired.
Unfortunately, NU has a lot of guys on defense who have under performed so far this year.

Actually, the list is a helluva lot shorter of those who actually have played to their known ability.

I'd like to see Mickey re-evaluate who actually gets to keep a Blackshirt. NU yields almost 650 yards and still has ten guys or so wearing that jersey of excellence?

Since Trev talked about accountability, maybe Mickey can start there.

The QB hit everything he threw and GIfford was just a half step behind. I though Hill was game, and Buford is going to be a STUD. We needed to change the scheme.

It’s going to hurt some feelings, but people need to start taking a good, hard look at Ruud.
Exactly. Husker legend, great pro player. ****** LBer corps.

Last 4 years, NU LB's not exactly a who's who's of current pros. We have a history of LB's who specialize in making the tackle 8-12 yards past the line of scrimmage.
